A: Prototypical hazy, pale goldenrod color when held up to light. Tangerine hues when not in direct light. Nice 1 1/2 inch-finger white head, but poor retention and minimal lacing counter the gorgeous color.

S: Bright tangerine rides a floral/herbal backbone. Medicinal aroma detected as well. Low malt character.

M: Oily and slick. Medium bodied. Fine but low carbonation level plays to a creamy feel. Decently bitter finish, neither dry nor astringent.

T: Some woodiness, cloves, orange, grapefruit. Lemon pith. All this and the bitterness covers up a very faint taste of garlic scapes after the beer rests on your palate for awhile, which lets you know it's time for another sip.

O: Not overdone, and true to the label as the Summit hops are the star. A pleasantly nice and straightforward "hop profile" beer that still manages to get good flavor from a relatively low 4.8%. Definitely not outstanding as I look for APAs with a little more malt flakiness to them.

Had this at the Cask Wars competition at backstage in Torrington, CT. It was a fairly clear, thin golden color with a slight haze. It had a solid white coat on top and awesome lacing throughout like a blanket. The aroma was a solid citrus wheat with a rather astringent cabbage idea, likable for those that enjoy bitter brews. The flavor delivers a similar theme with some added flowery potatoe over the citrus bite. There's a bright grassy edge with biscuit qualities as well. The carbonation is very polite and the feel is generally thin with a medium to light body. Generally a likeable pale ale that will appeal to your hop needs while keeping the taste a bit more interesting than most.
