cerveja preta com boa formação e persistência de espuma, de corpo médio e predomínio de aromas e sabor de malte tostado, alem de grão de café torrado, pão preto e cacau. Amargor de tosta com boa intensidade e persistência e um leve calor de álcool residual.

330 ml bottle into snifter, bottled in 4/2013. Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, toast, dark bread, light char, caramel, light molasses, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and coffee notes; with great strength. Taste of roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, toast, dark bread, light char, caramel, light molasses, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of roasted coffee bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, roast, toast, dark bread, caramel, light molasses, herbal, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/roasted malt and coffee flavors; with a great roasted sweetness/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy, smooth, and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent coffee stout. All around great balance, robustness, and complexity of dark/roasted malt and coffee flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours black with a small khaki head, which has pretty good retention, and leaves spotty lacing. The Aroma has espresso, cocoa, dark chocolate, and dark roasted malt.

The taste is somewhat charred with dark roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate, cocoa, and black licorice. There is not much sweetness, and there is a bit more of a charred taste than I would like, but it is still pretty good.

Light to medium bodied with modest carbonation. There is a charred malt aftertaste. Somewhat creamy. Not a bad beer at all. Worth trying if you get the chance.
