12oz bottle (or was it 33cl?) for $5.99. Orange color. Aroma is sweet oranges, hints of bread. Bready flavor with notes of orange. Not much hoppiness to speak of so IPA might be a stretch but a decent beer.

Muted copper and a full, soap bubble head that falls to a thin layer in a minute.
Peach, orange, butterscotch on the nose.
Butterscotch is right - sweeter on the palate than expected. Some tangerine, and the pitch right along with it. Finish is bitter resin and pine needles, lingering.
A two dimensional IPA, two sweet for my liking, but some may enjoy the tangerine/orange notes.

Clear amber, one finger head.

Smells of banana, citrus, cloves, caramel, bread, apples.

Very grassy taste. slight bitterness. Bread, mostly. Apples, caramel.

Smooth, no carbonation and light body.

Eh. I mean, the smell is terrific, very rich, but the taste doesn't really follow through. And the mouthfeel really isn't all that great either. Still enjoyable though.

330ml bottle poured into a pint glass.

Good looking hazy orange amber hue with nice foamy white head that stays with good retention before gradually subsiding to some foamy sheet atop as well as several sticky lacing patches on the glass-side, carbonation seems to be high that actively pushes the sediment flexes floating around.

Orange candy, mellow grapefruit, apricot, some spice, and earthiness, all of these aromas are derived from hops while malt is there too with notes of caramel and sweet breadiness from the used of Munich malt.

Led by sweet breadiness and caramel from malt as a starter, hop closely chases with notes of big grapefruit and orange candy. The orange character here is unlike other IPAs, I guess because of the used of unique and rare type of orange called “Fukure Mikan”. In the middle, there it is spiciness and some nuttiness to add some depths while the end is hop again to wrap up with mild bitterness that is also lingered as an aftertaste.

The body is medium with good crisp from rather high carbonation generating nice smoothness and refreshing feel through the palate, dry finish.

Oh yes pretty good IPA especially when it comes from Hitachino, there are some unique characters that are worth to mention and try.

Pours a copper orange with a white head that dissipates quickly. Minimal flavors on the nose, a bit of citrus and grass. Taste of light citrus and pine with a bit of sweet malt and grasses. Possibly a touch of raw honey. Lighter body almost session like. It was good not great. A beer that is stuck between styles but drinkable none the less.

Poured a clear, copper with a moderate, loose head that disappeared immediately. No lacing. Looks fizzy and artificially carbonated. Doesn't look good.

Nose is pleasant but not distinctive.

Palate took me slightly by surprise with a touch of honey in the malt and the orange/mandarin prevalent in the drying finish. I found the bitterness low for an IPA. Lacking complexity

Mouth surprisingly good. Quite full.

Overall is pleasant. I can't recommend it to fans of IPA's because it's not an IPA. It's not an American IPA (whatever that is) either. But I'd recommend it.
