As the name implies, Mother’s Milk is a dark and creamy milk stout. Hints of oatmeal, chocolate and of course, milk make this brew have a remarkably smooth and silky finish, a classic example of the style.

(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer pours a dark black opaque body with a thin creamy tan head. There is no sign of carbonation at all.
S- The aroma is very clean with a roasted smooth black malt note and a very soft earthy cream note that comes through when it warms a bit. The faint hint of greenness and black malt bitterness concludes the finish after the beer has warmed a bit.
T- This beer has a chocolate roasted malt flavor with a bit of a chalk note to it and a creamy burnt tartness to the finish. There is a soft bitterness of black malt at the finish but no lingering bitterness at all. The last few sips show a very faint smokiness which is nice and I would have really liked that in the dark malt flavor all through the beer.
M- This beer has a creamy slightly silky medium mouthfeel, with no alcohol heat at all.
D- This is a nice smooth stout with a decent flavor but it is missing a bit of bitterness to balance the malt flavors. If it could turn up the volume just a bit it would add a lot more interest to this beer.
