This is a very light and basic, but fairly good and enjoyable pale ale. From what I understand, this is the same thing as the Alexander Keith’s IPA, but renamed for the broader market. It certainly is not a true IPA and is barely discernable as a pale ale since it is very much like a more solid pale lager with just the faintest hint of an ale character in yeastiness, etc., but it is a basically enjoyable beer nevertheless.
Gold, it has a fairly big off-white head that shrinks steadily to a foamy ring.
Aroma is light but firm, lightly toasty barley and bread, light lemony-grassy element, hint of apple cider and hint of yeasty bread.
Taste is light yeasty grain and bread, apple cider with a light, zesty grassy character and hint of herbal quality. The finish is mostly lightly yeasty bread with some apple and grass, and a light mineral quality. It’s simple, straightforward, light, but enjoyable, with enough firm character to maintain some interest and hold up fairly well.

I would not call this an ale as it is far too light and shallow to compare to the ales.
This beer has an average light golden/yellow pour, clean with a light head. There is a noticeable lack of sensations from this beer but despite this shortcoming, it still comes across as a light and refreshing pint. There is no uniqueness to this beer, and nothing to stand above other drinks, but if you are faced with a tap with no preferrable beers, this makes for a simple unoffensive drink.
