It pours a rich Cooper color with a sweet citrus smell to it. The taste is a sweet citrus start then comes the bite of Pitney flavor. The feel is medium with plenty of carbonation to it. Overall a well balanced taste to a very good IPA.

This beer pours a pale clear amber with an average head. The aroma has lots of pineapple with cedar, grapefruit, tangerine, and a hint of mango. The flavor features mild caramel malts, shifting to pine, bitter grapefruit, and a touch more caramel at the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a high level of fizzy carbonation.Overall this is very tasty - nothing special, but complex and drinkable.

Picked up at Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg. Beautiful head and lace above a cloudy golden body. Nose is various citrus with a touch of biscuit themed balance. Definitely hop forward, Solid start.

Pineapple inititiates and then gives way to pine. This is flavorful throughout. The bitterness isn't overpowering, and extends steadily through the finish. Texture holds up pretty well. You could do much worse if looking for a sessionable west coast IPA.

Poured the 12oz bottle into a teku glass.

Smells citrus and taste pretty bitter.

Taste orange and lime

Drinkable as hell especially as I am downing this on a sunny afternoon. I'm not tired of these American IPAs yet, go purchase it.

Appearance: Clean copper-amber, with a huge off-white head and heavy, attractive lace.

Aroma: Tropical and citrus hops, American IPA all the way. Solid.

Taste: Plenty of bittering Northwest hops, citrus predominantly, and a nice balance with the malt profile. Really a solid, easily-enjoyable IPA.

A little light even for an English style. Nice aroma. Light hop flavor. Slightly sweet with a floral finish. Lingers for a bit which was the only surprise I took from this beer.

Poured a see-thru light yellow body with two-finger head that stuck around for awhile. Light floral hoppy aroma with not much else. Light bodied beer with minimal flavor that balanced light/floral hops with touch of caramel sweetness and clean finish.

A 12oz bottle with a bottled on date of 11.7.16

L - Copper/ golden yellow with 2 fingers of head and lace left all over the glass and on top of the brew.

A - Hop citrus and bitterness both shine through. Smells well balanced with malty sweetness

T - like the aroma, very well balanced. Sweet up front and citrus throughout. Grapefruit

M - well carbonated and medium body

O - an excellent everyday IPA. Well done

I picked up a bottle of Elysian's The Immortal IPA a few days ago for $1.89 at The Lager Mill. I've had some beers from this brewery before, but I haven't had a chance to try this IPA till now and I;m happy to see it in Michigan now, so lets see how it goes. 2017 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into an IPA glass.

A- The label look is nice, it's a little weird at first, but then I see how it kind of goes with the name a little and it's just a little eye catching. It poured a pretty clear amber orange color that took on more of an golden orange color when held to the light with almost three fingers worth of fluffy and slightly chunky off white head that died down to a thick ring that stayed till the end and it left some nice rings of patchy lacing behind. This is a very nice looking IPA, I have no complaints.

S- The aroma starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with the hops being the first to show up and they impart a nice mix of citrus rind, floral and grassy hop aromas with a little bit of green hops in the background and the citrus rinds sticking out the most by a little bit. Up next comes a little bit of doughy yeast that leads into the malts which impart some pale malt, grainy, bready, bread crust and light sweet malt like aroma. This beer has a pretty nice aroma, it's on the balanced side for an IPA.

T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma, but with more hops this time and it start starts off with a higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops still being the first to show up and this time they are more fruity with some grapefruit showing up along with the citrus rind and it's not as grassy or floral this time. Up next comes a slight bit of doughy yeast that leads into the malts which are a little lighter than they were in the aroma, but they impart all the same aspects. On the finish there's a slightly higher amount of medium bitterness that lingers just a little with a fruity hop, green hop and floral hop like aftertaste. This is a pretty nice tasting IPA, the hop shine more in the taste and I like the hop profile.

M- Fairly smooth, pretty crisp, slightly prickly, a little tingly, medium bodied with a higher amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is good and the tingly feeling makes me think they used hop oil in it.

Overall I thought this was a pretty nice beer and I think it's a solid example of the style, I liked the hop flavors and I thought it did a good job at living up to being a west coast style IPA. This beer had nice drinkability, I could drink a couple of them without getting bored of it. What I like the most about this beer is the mouthfeel, it's good and it's the highlight of this beer along with the hop profile. What I like the least about this beer is the aroma, I think it could be a little bolder, it seemed slightly muted. I would buy this beer again and I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid west coast style IPA. All in all I was happy with this beer and I thought it was pretty tasty, it lived up to what I thought it would be. It's one of the better beers I've had from this brewery and it's a good example of the style. Good job guys, this is a tasty IPA, keep it up.

Quite clear dark golden color with off-white head. Aroma has dried oranges, caramel malt and resiny hops. Taste starts with oranges, pine resin, grapefruit, also some floral hop notes. Finish is quite bitter and resiny. Medium body and carbonation. A really classic, well made, west coast style IPA.

This pours a nice hazy golden orange with a thick puffy beige head. Really outstanding lacing left behind (bonus pts). Mild hop taste to start but leaves a lingering bitterness with a medium, very carbonated feel. Would certainly drink again.

Smoother version of the space dust. Aroma has less pungency , bur is very nice. Dark yellow, white head. Less offensive taste With same flavors. Pine and citrus. Citrus is more in the front here and pine takes a back seat.

From the side of the label: "12DEC16 DB25"

Appearance: The body has good clarity with a medium burnished gold color that brightens to a lighter shade of gold as light strikes it. The head is very fluffy and white. Very good head retention.

Aroma: The aroma is light with a bit of caramel and just a touch of pine.

Taste: There is this sweet caramel flavor up front which is quickly supplanted by this herbal tea flavor. The aftertaste has a very light biscuit flavor.

Mouthfeel: Light bitterness and body with a wet finish. Easy to drink.

Overall: It's a decent beer that feels like an average IPA with a nice balance of hop and malt flavors with an overall light profile. It's not a beer I would jump to recommend or drink again but it's not bad either. The aroma is a bit lackluster and falls on the lower edge of average but the flavor teeters a bit on the upper edge of average.

On tap at the Elysian bar in Seattle.

Really solid mid-hoppiness IPA. Slightly orange in color with low head and lacing. Aroma is normal. Taste is a smooth hoppy beer. Mouthfeel is a little heavy but not unpleasant. Really good IPA if you are wanting an easy to drink IPA and not a big hop bomb. A little bit of alcohol warmness on the finish.

Looks straw yellow with a slight haze, and a low head, fair lacing. Crisp and bubbly in appearance
Smells interesting with perfume-like citrus hops, orange.
Taste is of fresh rind/ citrus, and is nicely balanced with some breadiness. A classic IPA flavor and quite sippable.
Feels medium and smooth, nicely carbonated with a slight tartness and then a crisp bite to the finish.
Solid IPA here. Plenty of skill shown in making a Pacific Northwest IPA that doesn't overload the senses via aggressive hop notes.

12 oz bottle poured into a short, stemmed glass. L: Copper amber color, whitish carbonation. S: Moderately-high hop aroma of floral and spicy-peppery. T: Medium hop flavor with a medium malt, a little bready. F: Smooth, medium. O: As I expected, a very well balanced IPA, since categorized as an English IPA.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 10-1-16 for $1.83. No bottling date visible but am pretty sure it is new knowing how quickly stock moves thru CBHS.

Beer poured golden orange with a very nice white head that left some lacing behind.

Nose is light on fresh citrus aromas.

Taste initially was citrus finishing with pine. When paired with a Chicken Tiki Masala recipe tropical notes were very evident along with the citrus and pine - this was a great beer - food pairing.

Mouthfeel was medium bodied and fairly refreshing.

Overall a nice beer that is worthy of a shot!

Bottled August 25th 2016.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a finger of foam that leaves nice lacing behind.

Smells of caramel malt and orange citrus that suggests balance.

Tastes of caramel malt and orange citrus, leaning towards more bitter than sweet but still close to balance. The hops do impart a spicy character.

Slick mouthfeel and good drinkability. Decent price for a good IPA.

Mostly clear, golden amber with a foamy off white head. Streak lacing. The aroma is caramel malt and orange. Hints of melon, and pine. The flavor is herbal and grass with a bit of lemon and orange in the finish. Juicy and resinous mouthfeel, but perhaps a bit watery. A very good beer overall though.

Nicely bitter and stringent aroma and aftertaste. Full hoppy nose, and nice full piney taste, appearance is the only thing lacking (better pour on second glass, appearance is fine. All else, this is a superior beer.

Killer amount of booze. The beer doesn't hide it, but rolls with it with an impressive dose of malts which serve to enhance the bitterness into something rather unique.

Pours a deep brownish orange color. Not very hoppy; mostly bready Malta, fruity Malta, dough, and grains. Medium body and low carbonation.

Overall not a bad beer but super malty and I like more hops from an IPA.

Bottled on 7/26/16. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours golden with a subtle haze and solid clarity; fluffy white head that slowly falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have lots of pine notes along with some hints of citrus. Bread and crackers are in the mix. Malts are there doing its thing. The flavors are very earthy. Lots of pine and fresh grass. Grapefruit is there. Solid bitterness with a solid malt backbone. The malts and hops balance each other out. Crisp and clean. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is great. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's extremely fluffy and creamy. Very smooth and easy to drink.

This is a nice IPA. I definitely pick up on the English influence, but still has "American" qualities. Refreshing and enjoyable stuff. I like it.

12 oz bottle. Bottling date 23rd of may 2016 ( a little less then 2 months ago)

Pours a not quite clear golden body with a white head. Decent lacing and retention

Smell is not very prominent but increases slightly as it warms. What I am getting is malt forward. There is a very slight hop scent, no citrus, no pine. But it's sorta there.... It was difficult to rate the scent on this beer. The balance seems different then a typical northwest IPA. A unique balance...In the end... I guess I just like it to be a little more prominent, but I can still taste the work that went into achieving this balance.

Taste is a very nice bitter hop grapefruit.... where were you in the smell ?

Nice crisp feel.

Overall; Wow how fast beers are changing these days! nice take on an IPA a few years ago. Still interesting if slightly outdated. More English then west coast
