bottle dated 4/30/15 - 8.1% abv... start off with the fact a 22oz bottle is $3.99 so economically great purchase, roast grain and coffee flavor with a slick silky mouthfeel, bit of burnt embers and subtle chocolate malts, moderate carbonation which I love in an Imperial Stout (labeled Imperial Oatmeal Stout and the fact this years batch broke the 8% plateau I believe it applies)... paired it with a finger of Stranahan's Whiskey and complimented it very nicely, overall great brew and a staple in my fridge

A - Not quite black. Rocky mocha foam.Phenomenal retention.
S - Coffee, mainly with a little sweetness.
T - Fudge, lots of iced coffee. Slightly acrid with burned roasted malt. Portrays most of the classic stout flavours, primarily coffee and malt. Could use either a little more smoke and peat, or maple and chocolate.
M - Creamy, rich, with a buttery finish.
O - I thought this was great, the mouthfeel in particular.

a thick brownish head that looked like a mix between a chocolate souffle and a caffe mocha.
subtle aromas of hops and coffee.
initial taste is rich and robust with sweet caramel undertones that linger throughout. the taste is a wonderful balance of richness and sweetness, good combination.
I've seen this one in the stores and passed it by many times, so glad i decided to try it this time and this will certainly not be the last.

Beautiful looking beer. Chocolate brown with a massive three finger head that leaves full lacing around the glass. Nose is heavy on malt with notes of nuts and wood. Malt hits first, followed by chocolate, smoke and wood flavors. Lingers long and begs to be consumed slowly and appreciated. Stellar brew.

Thanks to drabmuh for opening this bottle.
Pours black with a single-finger tan head with moderate retention. This falls down to a collar around the edges. The nose is pretty sweet to start with a good amount of chocolate as well as some sweetness, coffee, and maybe a hint of black licorice. The taste is mostly chocolate-focused with some roasted malt in there as well. A bit of booze coming through in the end, and this takes over a bit in the feel, which consists of a somewhat-low carbonated brew with a pretty big body. Drinks well enough, but not a standout among the style.

Pours slightly viscous jet black with a finger of brown head and little lacing.
Smell offers burnt cookies, chocolate, coffee, oats, smokey wood, some booze, well balanced piney hop profile
Taste is equal in burnt character, smoky, more coffee, well balanced with hops, metallic bitter finish and aftertaste
Feel is spot on, smooth with mild carbonation
Overall an enjoyable stout.

I drank this beer straight from the bottle (I'm in the middle of moving and drank it while painting a room).
I thought that the mouthfeel was tremendous. It says on the bottle that it is full-bodied and it lives up to that claim, especially on the finish.
Bit of a coffee bean flavor. More caramel than chocolate, I thought. Smoky. I actually didn't think it was as hoppy as some others seem to think.
Overall, very good. Nothing revolutionary, just really solid, well done, and tasty.

Poured into a pint glass from a bomber.
Pours a dark black with a nice 1 finger brown head.
Aroma is chocolate, caramel and sweet malts. Has a bit of that "tootsie roll" aroma too.
Flavor is earthy/roasted with a bit of bitter chocolate, mildly sweet, bit of bitter hops, tiny bit of grain, bit of alcohol. A little lighter on the alcohol flavor and a bit more "umph" and this would be perfect. I keep thinking of some kindy of earth root.
Mouthfeel is pretty excellent, creamy, medium-to-full bodied.
Finish is very interesting, nutty(wood) and peppery/alcohol.
Quite easy to drink, I could drink a good amount of this and want to drink more of these in the future.
This is quite a tasty brew.

22 oz bottle into a teku.
Appearance: Pours a very dark brown color (borderline pitch black, even). The head is three fingers high and khaki in shade. Annoyingly, the tall head retains very well, and also has a soft/dense texture. Lots of lacing is left on my glass - all told, this beer looks absolutely phenomenal. (4.75)
Smell: The nice hopping is the first thing I notice. Plenty of floral Cascade hops to be found. It doesn't always work in a stout, but it kind of does here. Beneath the hops, I pick up notes of roast, nuts, roasted nuts, oats, vanilla, chocolate, and citrus. Really nice - a hoppier than normal stout that isn't imbalanced. (3.75)
Taste: Like the nose suggested, the hops don't run roughshod over everything, they just balance the nice sweetness provided by the stout base. An initial floral flavor quickly give way to some dark fruit flavors. It finishes with a sneaky roastiness (this has a good roasted barley character, redolent of an Irish stout). The hops and the roast work together to create a rock-solid stout. (3.75)
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, to the point of being practically effortless. It's initially creamy, which melds with the nearly bone-dry finish. Carbonation is a little low. The dryness works so well with the initial softness - it manages to go down very easily without seeming dinky or weak. (4.25)
Overall: I don't like supporting the tyrant that is InBev, but if they make good beer, I'll still send some money their way. And this, well it's a damn good stout. Dry and roasty with a nice hoppy bite. This is an impressive beer worth anyone's time...unless you're anti-corporation, of course. Meh, whatever. (3.75)
3.86/5: So dry yet so delicious

Dark appearance, with a little off white head with chocolate tinges in there too. Lacing is quite well for such a small amount of head
Caramel, dark toffee, roasted malt
A little bit too much alcohol up front, but the heat gives away to a comfortable backbone of malt and chocolate
For a stout it's not that heavy, more medium bodied and quite enjoyable. Therefore, I think you could drink a little more becasue it doesn't fill you up so much
