(Notes of 22/08/13) Coming in a 650ml bomber brown bottle, bottle-conditioned; production date 15/06/2013, served gently chilled in a straight imperial pint glass.

A: pours a dark golden colour with very light haze, coming with a thick and creamy beige froth with extremely good retention, on top of gentle and constant flows of carbonation.
S: lightly sweet citrusy and lychee-ish upfront coupled with lightly sour fruit esters, balanced with mildly biscuity pale malts; given a very good swirl, the aroma reminds me of German floral hops big time, also with an acute tinge of acidity aside, as well as an interesting edge of raw grains.
T: perfectly effervescent, the intake shows, wow, lots of signs of sweet jasmine flowers on the palate, with the dried flowery fragrance mingling with the otherwise gentle and elegant hoppiness, leaving gristy and starchy malt sweetness and a slightly dry-ish palate to linger alongside the really fine bitter-fragrant jasmine-tea-ish quality in the finish. Straight forward comes the flavour profile, “short-lived” but ever so enjoyable.
M&O: the mouthfeel is superb, medium-minus bodied against a softly carbonated palate, while the flavour profile allows the real flowery elements to shine through and pair well with the hop profile and the gentle malt backbone. All in all, this is unlike any IPA I’ve tried, and I’m deeply fond of it…

I am sure that some brewers just try to outdo the guy next door or next state, but whoever brewed this one just got creative and risked it....Wow! Avatar Jasmine is right. Very impressed and this one will certainly make it to the party, the finest of parties of course since this is the classiest brew I have tasted since coming to the PNW!
