Notes: This pale ale is conditioned on sun-dried black limes and vibrates with a ridiculous amount of Citra hops. Slightly tart, highly citrusy, super chill.

Notes via stream of consciousness: What I find interesting here is the use of sun-dried black limes. I've never heard of such a thing! Great label design as well. So, OK, let's see what it looks like: hazy deep gold body beneath a standard sized head of slightly off-white foam. The aroma is citrusy, and resinous like hops, but I'm not really finding lime, and I can't determine where the citrus is really coming from. There is an odd earthy note, however, that I'm guessing is exclusively from the limes. On to the flavor... well that's certainly citrusy! There's a little bit of acidity to it. It's a touch spicy as well, and combined with a median bitterness it finishes dry. The malt is basic, just lightly biscuity, and supports the citrus well. Again, I'm not really getting "lime", but I can clearly tell where the dried black limes are as opposed to what might be citrusy hops. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp like any other APA. So what to say? It's an enjoyable APA that has a twist to it, and while I enjoy that I'm not sure it's inspiring enough to get me to seek it out over whatever else is available on the over-crowded shelves these days. Still, it's worth trying just to see what the dried black limes do.

A cloudy pour with medium carbonation. The smell is hops with some orange and coriander. The taste is very juicy ipa with some crispness to the aftertaste. It lives up to the label and is great on a sunny afternoon.

Tasted from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Slightly hazy golden beer with little head and lots of sediment on the bottom of the glass or floating just above it (odd for a non-bottle-conditioned beer). Aroma is heavy on lime and has a bit of black pepper that seems out of place but works with the lime.

Flavors are mostly typical for a grapefruity APA, but there is a strong lime and spice mote. It comes across as a menthol-like sharpness late in the palate. Good APA body and sensations in the mouth.

Is it a great beer? Not really. Would it be easy drinking on a hot summer day? Yeah, probably.

12 oz. bottle:

Pours slightly hazed yellow. A white thin head turns to a lasting thin film. Trailing lace.

The smell is of citrus - lime, grapefruit,

The taste of lime stands out, but doesn't overwhelm. It supports a solid, well-balanced APA.

Good choice for a summer brew.

Salute the sun pours a chunky bronze color, with a long lasting, small fizzy head. Smells like pee. Flavor is an earthy malty pale flavor, with generous hints of lime to bring it out. A bit light. Overall, I really like the mellow lime flavors, it helps the earthy base and very very bad aroma, try to drink from the bottle.

Taste: crisp floral hops, lime, mango, dry finish. Grapefruit citrus floral hop nose. Amber hue, mostly clear, white head and rings of lace on glass. Medium body. Gentle hops, Blacken sun dried limes are unique.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a one-finger head, some lacing, smells citrusy, refreshing lime taste with average carbonation and subtle hoppy notes. I really liked this beer and so did my friends. It is a very crushable summer beer.

Poured this from bottle into regular glass

-Straight gold right from the pour. Not much of a finger at all.

-Smelled citrusy

-Taste was citrus, lime, a hint of pepper and heavy lime which I was told by the bartender.

-Pretty smooth beer

-Overall poster below me had it perfectly...a beer I would definitely have again, but will definitely not be seeking out anytime soon.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of lime, citrus and toasted caramel. Very tart with a lot of lime and some sweet caramel.
