For the unsophisticated beer drinker in my opinion. It will beat some bud and other mass produced lagers, but that is as far as I’ll take it. I still find folks who like this and never understood. It has hops but it’s thin and dull. My last was a drain pour.

Appearance: Served up a hazed, orange-golden body with an inch of craggy-looking, near white foam.
Smell: Toast, toasted grains with a dusting of table sugar and a slight caramel edge to it. Minimal hop presence on the aroma, slight touches of citrus, herb.
Taste: A toasty, caramel-hinting maltiness with a moderate degree of sweetness. Like the nose, hop character is slight but sufficient to give you some background citrus and a light, cleansing bitterness. Finishes bittersweet with lingering hints of blonde caramel and citrus.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It's a well-balanced, easy-going, nicely drinkable beer.

Pours a cloudy copper color. 3/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, citrus hops, slight caramel malt, hint of tea, and a hint of spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Amber / Red Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, citrus hops, slight caramel malt, hint of tea, and a hint of spicy hops. Overall, good blend, low bitterness, and good body, but simplistic.

Poured from a bomber bottle bought in Seattle.
L - Copper color with no particular red highlights. A bit hazy. Off-white head is underwhelming and quickly fades to a few wisps of ultra-fine bubbles on the surface. A small amount of lacing.
S - Biscuity malt with a small hint of brown sugar. This is balanced by blended earthy and piney hops. Very clean fermentation character with no yeast or alcohol notes.
T - Flavors hit me more like a pale ale than a red ale. Emphasis is on the hops (earthy, piney and herbal, in that order of intensity) flavor and bitterness first, with malt as only a low, bready contributor. Finish is dry and bitter.
F - Thin body with moderate, creamy carbonation. Hops bitterness is medium to high, again reminding me of a US pale ale. Very low alcohol presence.
O - I'm not sure what the brewers were going for here. It is a pleasant beer that will appeal to hopheads, but to call it a red ale or American amber seems misleading. Red IPA might make more sense as a category.
