Pours a lovely orange color. A tad bit hazy with thin off white head and butt tons of lacing in stripes around the glass.
Heavy aromas of pine and bitter citrus peel. Grapefruit, mandarin and lime zest abound. Some sweetness underlying but not discernible.
Flavor goes right along with aromas. Zesty pine needles, earth leaves, big lime and grapefruit bitterness everywhere. Great sticky dankness in the finish, lovely dank after taste.
Heavier side of medium bodied. Sticky marijuana like finish that sits on the tongue. Very drinkable.

Awesome stuff, enough said

I absolutely love Elysian Spacedust but this savant is not doing it for me. Smells of strong banana esters. Its bitter, the hops are not aromatic enough, and its doesn't even seem balanced with the malt. I tried eating to cleanse my palate, didn't help. Not an enjoyable beer for me.

My first bomber as a beer fan! This was one of my Superb Owl beesr from last night. Taken from a thread here, I wanted at least one beer from Seattle and Denver for the big game, and this was all my bottle shop had for Seattle that I could find (I used a Great Divide Nomad for Denver, figured the camel was a close approximation of a horse). Delicious IPA, balanced and not too much alcohol so I was able to drink up and still watch the game!

Sadly, the competition between the beers was a lot closer than between the real life teams they were standing in for.

22oz bottle into a pint glass.
Medium to dark orange color in the glass.
Piney and citrus, mostly orange smell. Very nice.
Decent flavor, pine on the tongue, light maltyness in the aftertaste.
Bitter and not overly smooth. Lingers after each sip.
Decent, but nothing I would race out for.

Pours two and half fingers of head on a hazy dark straw colored body.
The aroma is mostly pine with some orange.
The taste has a malty start with moderate pine and lemon bitterness quickly following.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
Very enjoyable.
