This is one of the better pumpkin ales that I've tried. It pours a dark amber/orange color with a medium head. Very prominent pumpkin pie flavor. The body and mouthfeel of this beer is excellent. My only complaint is that there is an obvious off-flavor that comes through when it off-gasses carbonation (especially in the smell). This may be due to the use of pumpkin in the fermentation or it could just be my beer. I will say that it benefits greatly from some time spent in the refrigerator to clarify and drop some of the organic matter out of suspension (pour accordingly). I believe it is just a classic Scottish style ale with spices and pumpkin added. As is typical of the style, it is hopped only enough to add bitterness in order to showcase the malty and fruity elements. Well done. Tastes like Fall.

great tasting pumpkin brew. much like a good baked pumpkin pie without being overpowering to the beer itself. drinkable from ice cold to warm and an easy oddball beer flavor that can be enjoyed by both casual beer drinkers to beer advocates..... no pun intended

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky bright amber orange color with a small white head. The aroma is pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. The taste follows the nose. Very nice.

Poured from 12oz bottle into glass.
Reddish, amber, slightly cloudy body, thin off white cap, and very little lacing.
Rich aroma of pumpkin spices, Nutmeg and cloves prominent, with minor whiff of cinnamon and ginger.
Slightly sweeter taste of spiced pumpkin, more with cloves and nutmeg.
Thin mouth feel.
Good, tasty pumpkin ale.

Very tasty pumpkin brew. Well balanced flavor with all of the spices mixing well together and none seem overpowering. Cloves are probably most distinct but not overwhelming. Crisp and clean finish and a very nice interpretation on the style.

Solid Pumpkin Ale. Nice mix of actual pumpkin and pumpkin spices. Pours a hazy amber/orange color with a medium size slightly off white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is fairly robust with both pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. Better than many Pumpkin Ales and without an overpowering pie spice potpourri. Taste is prominent as well. Good balance between Pumpkin and Pumpkin Pie spices and a lot of malt. A little hoppiness in the finish. Mouthfeel is rich and crisp with a lot of pumpkin. A good seasonal choice.

Poured into a Irish-style pint glass.

Look: A body of cinnamon-amber hues, not unlike a rusty burnt orange. The head is tan colored and recedes to a patchy, bubbly thin film. Lacing is small random lines or spots.

Aroma: Cinnamon-heavy with a very true canned pumpkin pie filling aroma that also has notes of whipped topping. It smells sweet, spicy, and delicious.

Taste: For all the aroma offers, the taste is a little more straight to the point with a lot of cinnamon spice, and not a lot else. The pumpkin flavors are reduced to the general pumpkin pie spiciness. There is a tangy, slightly bitter finish not unlike a lot of pumpkin ales.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, slightly dry.
Heats up a bit as it warms.

Overall: If the mouthfeel could be a touch creamier and the taste mimic the aroma, thus would be a smash hit with me. As it is, I still like it because of the cinnamon-heavy nature of it.

Medium autumn colors, good head / retention, a little sediment if you are worried about that kinda thing. Very cajoling beer - spice is not over-the-top, it is well blended in with the base beer, which is rather anonymous but a good canvas for the pumpkin flavors to express themselves. Light cinnamon & nutmeg, and earthy sweetness from the pumpkin, simple German malt foundation. It may be a faux pas to compliment an ABInbev owned product but it really is one of the best punpkin beers on the shelf.
