L (4.25) - Hazy, dark golden coloration. Big white coarse foam on top.
S (4.5) - Very fruity, floral aroma to this. Smells like a great IPA to me.
T (4.25) - Tastes about like it smells. Not too aggressive, but some bitterness at the end. Maybe less citrus than expected
F (4) - Decent bodied and well carbed
O (4.25) - Elysian is new to my area and this is the second beer of theirs I've had. Solid beer from a seemingly solid brewer. I bought a six pack, nervously, but enjoyed every one of them.

Hazy golden pour with a little white head, some laciness
Scent is way too subtle for my liking, almost non existent. I can almost detect a fruitiness hop whiff.
Taste has more behind it, no malt but a nice hop character. The aftertaste carries a pleasant bitterness after an initial hop-fruit spills over the tongue. Carbonation is nice and carries an otherwise thin and watery mouthfeel.

Not a bad IPA, certainly not top-shelf for this taster anyway. I would order at a bar that had limited ipa options but probably will not try again at home or serve to guests.

Haven't been reviewing that many beers since Ba dumped their smartphone app. Be that as it may, this beer warranted a more detailed look. Absolutely blown away by the massive citrus nose on this IPA, to the extent it's hard to believe it wasn't fruited. Ripe pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel, and very ripe peach dominate. The flavor combines those tropical fruit elements with light pine notes but the bitterness is very much held in check by a biscuity malt undertone. Mouthfeel is quite soft despite being well carbonated, and the appearance is faintly hazy but tending more towards clear. This beer is really well balanced, and actually sort of strikes a chord between west coast IPA and New England style. Which I don't think Elysian was targeting in any way, it's just how this venerable beer turned out. I'm impressed.

Poured from tap into shaker, cream colored 1 finger head, recedes slowly and has great lacing. Looks medium clear golden in the glass. Smells faintly of malt, mainly of citrus. A little malt sweetness up front that is quickly taken over with citrus and some pine, and finishes up with a grapefruit pith bitterness. Alcohol is hidden well, a little on the dry side on the finish. Very solid ipa

Pours slightly hazy copper-orangish gold color with decent creamy head and some nice lacing.
Aromatic nose is a fruity bouquet with orange citrus and bread.
Taste follows the nose but hop bitterness dominates. Juicy pine and ruby red grapefruit notes appear as I sip some more; fairly sweet but not overdone. Orange peel pokes through after the aforementioned...a tasty and complex IPA we have here now don't we.
Feels medium-full and creamy, though well-carbonated. Bitterness in the aftertaste is wrapped in the nice fruit of its flavor profile. A high quality brew, but one that is IPA-bitter. Grew on me the more I sipped it.

32oz growler filled at Heinen's in Mentor, Ohio

Growler poured into a tulip. Pours golden with nice clarity and a fluffy eggshell white head that falls leaving great retention and nice lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of citrus and tropical notes. Slightly floral. Hints of peach, pineapple, orange and grapefruit. Malts are there, but not overwhelming at all. The flavors follow the nose perfectly. Lots of grapefruit and mango. Pine needles are in the mix. Solid bitterness. There's a very subtle sweetness. Solid malt backbone, but the hop bitterness and hop flavors shine. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the lighter of medium-bodied with active carbonation. Very smooth and dangerously drinkable.

This is a very nice IPA. I never would've guessed that this is over 8% abv. This one has a nice west coast vibe to it. Enjoyable stuff. Well done.

Pours hazy golden with very little head.

Smells sweet with overtones of citrus; reminds me of a fruity sorbet.

Tastes far from the nose - very bitter and hoppy. The initial fruity smell carries in but is overwhelmed by the hops.

Overall, I am not an IPA fan so take my review with a grain of salt. This is the best IPA I have had and I would drink it in the future, but it's not for me. If you're not an IPA fan but all your friends are, give Space Dust a try.

Pours an opaque/foggy copper orange with a thick white foamy head. The head tops out at around a centimeter and a half and retains remarkably well. A good smattering of lacing is left behind. The aroma is lively and hoppy, with specific notes of citrus, tropical fruits - mostly pineapple, and a wonderful sticky resin quality. Biscuit malts support the hops and give the beer a good back bone and balance. Flavor profile is wonderfully hoppy, while not being overly bitter. Hop qualities include orange, lemon, pineapple, and sticky resin. A bread-like, biscuit malt quality bolsters and supports the flavor profile. Alcohol flavor starts to show more as the beer warms. Mouth feel is bubbly, and abrasive, and maybe a bit fizzy to be considered great. Still, it's filling and has a great medium-thick consistency. Overall, it's a sublime IPA that performs in nearly all manners.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

On draft. Consumed from a 16 oz pint glass.

This beer is confusing as I had fairly high expectations. Looks good, nice lacing but thats about it. Little to no nose. Smell is faint cereal malt and light hops. Taste is well...average. Lemony hops with a bitterness from start to finish. Mouthfeel is nice and It hides the alcohol well but there are a bizzillion other IPAs I would rather have. I will try again some other time to make sure my palate isn't retarded today but this is just meh.

This is an exceptional IPA. Been buying six packs of this the past 4-5 weeks now. crisp clean taste, not too bitter and nice finish. It's among one of my top IPAs. Love the high ABV too!

Bottled 4/21/16.

Easy pour to leave sediment in bottle. Pretty clear, yellowish gold color, minimal head recedes to very thin collar.

Hefty bready malt at first in the nose with some light apricot and peach like scent.

Taste carries the good dose of malt with an ample balance of some white grape flavor and a little tartness. Neither overbear each other, balanced for sure. Some sugar cookie sweetness.

Medium bodied, as expected for 8.2% and medium carbonation. Little aftertaste but carb is refreshing and a bit lively.

Nice well balanced IPA. Not a big hit of pine or citrus but it's there and goes well with the malt.

From a crowler acquired at The Tap on Ponce in Atlanta, pours a clear honey-gold with 2+ fingers of white foam. Lots of lacing. Good-looking beer. Smell is classic pine and grapefruit, with orange and some earthy notes mixed in. Taste follows the smell, with a decent lingering bitterness and a lasting pine resin and grapefruit pith aftertaste. Really nice. Feel is medium, alcohol very well hidden. I could totally see this being my go-to IPA/IIPA if it was available locally.

Big fan of this one, I'm originally from WA and most of my family still lives there and I now love in AZ and have had to hear about this beer a lot. The build up has been intense.

Definitely not disappointed, has a great aroma, not too crisp or bitter but has a great piney almost dank taste that you would get from a heavy IPA. The color is great and was very easy to drink. So happy to find this in AZ finally. Will definitely be getting more.

Dated 4/17/16
Poured 6/21/16

Poured conservativewith an aggressive finish leaving 1 inch of foam that leaves a nice creamy layer that lasts.
Smells of pine, tangerine.
Very smooth beer not bitter whatsoever, very nice for a 8.2%, you can taste some booze from it on the finish but very nice.

I would definitely recommend. Outstanding ipa

Pours a filtered golden-orange color. Pretty good lacing with 1 finger of white head.

Aroma is of floral hops, grapefruit peel, and some pine.

Taste starts with a pop of bitterness, solid malt backbone, some orange peel, pine resin, mango, and grapefruit.

Overall, this is a solid IPA. Classic west coast flavors done well with a nice balance. I see this pairing well with a Thai coconut curry soup. It gets a 85.5/100.

L: Had this beer on tap at Gene's Haufbrau, poured into a pint glass. Had a golden-orange color and a cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. OK lacing.

S: A nice aroma of hops, light tropical fruit, and citrus.

T: Tasted of some pine, a moderate amount of hops, light malt notes, orange, mango, and a bit of pineapple for good measure. The fruity elements of the flavor are leveled with the pine and hops content. A well balanced flavor.

F: A good shot of carbonation with a surprisingly dry finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Space Dust is a well made, easy to drink IPA. Very Likable.

Glad to see Elysian in the phx market even though they sold out. As for this beer, it is just ok. It is a decent IPA but nothing to write home about. I'm sure I'll buy it again with a price point under $4. It is definitely worth the cost.

has to be one of the better IPA's. i really enjoy an even keel IPA that wont murder me with hops. the balance of citrus, malt, bitterness and piney is in an awesome balance in this beer. so if you want hop overload go somewhere else, but if you want a great IPA that really sets a standard for IPA's, then i would definitely try this beer.

On draft at new (to me) brewpub. Delivered in a pint glass, the nice orange/straw color was extremely inviting on a warm spring day. First taste revealed a nice grapefruit/citrus tartness with little hop bite. Zero dankness at all. Forgot to ask for the "brew date", but have to assume it was extremely fresh. This is a nice, well-balanced, and extremely drinkable IPA.

Right up there with Pliny... super balance, very citrusy. Lacks the skunky/skanky background of some prominent DIPAs, and tends to the more mass market friendly versions of a 7% IPA. So much more amenable to having 2-3 at a sitting. Superb.

Single 12-ounce bottle with some pretty neat artwork on the label. On to the beer:

Slightly hazy body with a dark brass color and creamy sturdy head. The smell of melons, honeydew, tangerine hit my nose with a little ride of spiciness towards the end. Space Dust takes on the personality of a fruit salad with its calm mild-mannered attitude. But make no mistake, there's plenty of flavor here. The taste takes a page out of the aroma, and as a bonis comes with a creamy mouthfeel and easy drinking nature. Factor its availability and Space Dust looks like a beer that I'll be heading toward again and again.

Pours slightly hazed deep orange-tinted golden with a lasting frothy white head that leaves lacing.

The smell is of citrus/tropical fruits (pineapple, tangerine, melon).

The taste is of citric/tropical - mango, melon, some orange/grapefruit. It has a sweet bready malt touch in the background and an herbal (with a dash of black peppery spicing) dry finish.

It has a creamy medium body. Smooth. Alcohol well-hidden.

A very enjoyable IPA. Nice use of hops while maintaining a balancing malt backbone for smoothness and enough balance. Very easy to drink.
