Bottle.
Appearance: dark-cola colored. Thin, tan head. Thin lacing.
Smell: coffee and raspberry. Light roasted barley.
Taste: same as smell with a tobacco finish.
Mouthfeel: medium-low carbonation. medium-large body.
Overall: I can not pick up the Belgian characteristics. Decent. Not great.

Handsome dark brown brew with long-lasting beige foam in the big Stout glass. Burnt sugar and scorched malt flavors, but not in excess. Malty and moderately sweet but with the yeasty drying finish. Sort of a coffee and fruit combination.

The fruity dark taste is really quite pleasant. Interesting balance of slightly sweet and slightly sourish. I find it hard to find much fault with this as a Stout with some Belgian style. It's more American in the bitter aftertaste, however. From the 12 oz can. The date on the bottom says "Experience by 16 March 22."

Bottle to Snifter.
Appearance: Pours jet black. Medium grey head. Lasting.
Aroma is mild yeast, plum, raisin, slight raspberry. Taste: raspberry is prevalent in taste, even though faint in nose. somewhat astringent. Aftertaste has some coffee, ash. Feel: Medium low carbonation. Interesting, but not stellar."

Bottle.
Appearance: Dark colored. Some lighter hints when tilted.

Smell: coffee and raspberry.

Taste: Chocolate notes with hint of raspberry.

Mouthfeel: Low carbonation. Chocolate flavor.

Overall: Strong raspberry taste with hints of chocolate.

Decent beer... honestly expected more of a raspberry taste form the local WA berries Elysian picked.

22oz bottle poured into a pair of chalices.

Pours black, biggish light brown head that dissipates very slowly. Smell is chocolatey, vegetable, fruity. Yeasty, slight funk.

Taste is super raspberry, some chocolate. Slight funk.

Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin. Silky. Overall, quite good.
