This was really not my favorite. I had it on tap at Victoria Gastro Pub in Columbia.
There was a burnt caramel/fermented peach undertone that gave this beer a medical property that I wasn't expecting. I looked great, smelled great; but after 20 minutes or so the bartender came by and replaced it with a Firestone Walker Double Jack--thank God!

On tap at Elysian's Elysian Fields location:

Pours an deep amber or burnt orange with an eggshell white head. Aroma is balanced with caramel malt up front and a nice citrus and earthy hop aroma. Taste followst the aroma nicely with citrus and lemon tangyness, herbal, grassy. A great single hop double ipa utilizing sorachi ace hops.

3-11-16 - On tap today at Elysian Brewery on Capital Hill in Seattle. Not sure how to bring this back from the "Archived" list as it's oh so fresh from the tap. Great, great imperial with an opaque straw orange color. IBUs up in the 80s, so this one is so enticing. Served again in a tall tulip. 1/4 inch head with some residue on the inside glass. Such a good complement to my earlier fish (mahi mahi) tacos and current Oasis Plate (hummus, olives, peppers, cukes, pita and love). Get this one now before it's archived yet again.

Poured at the dram shop in Missoula Montana. Love elysian, thought I'd try it

Different from most imperials. Smell wasn't what I would think of an IIPA (plus much darker) along with a different taste (not sure on hops, have to research)

All in all, it is a unique I IPA, one glass was enough. Not sure if I could take more than that. Was worth the try.

I had this beer on tap at dan's restaurant and tap house in boonsboro md.

Poured from draft - 10 oz

Appearance: Pours a murky, light amber. Lacing hangs sporadically on the glass. A small head stays is present throughout.

Smell: What a great smell! Sweet malt present as well as grapefruit, tangerine, sweet honey, and bitter hops(sorachi- one of my favorites!.)

Taste: The taste confirms what you smell. Hoppy bitterness and sweet malting ss blended well. Alcohol is present but blends into the mix.

Mouthfeel: Silky and smooth over the palate. High carbonation.

Overall: I am very impressed with this beer. Very well balanced. A definite favorite!
