What? No review? How many times have I danced through these halls?
Well, the Elysian revamped the place a couple years ago but the look and feel is more or less the same. Same high ceilings, same eclectic mix of music, same random and awesome pictures rotating on the screensaver on the computer behind the bar. What has changed is a lot more Men's Room Red, which has had an overall negative effect on the selection available. Often they'll have 10 or more of their own brews, either brewed there, at Tangletown or the Fields. Sometimes more, sometimes less. And aside from the Men's Room, almost all of their beers are exceptionally drinkable and delicious.
Most recently went there and had an excellent selection, double IPA, two IPAs, the standard classics, the Great Pumpkin, an American mild, and a few other beautiful beers. They do have some guest taps, depending on how much of their own they are pouring. The bartenders are pretty excellent, as is the staff. Friendly and sexy, I'd say.
The food is good, very good for brewpub food, and I enjoy me a nacho plate. I hope that's still there. I probably should've gotten one yesterday. Mistakes were made.
One of my favorite places in Seattle, my old stomping ground.

Went here after the Sounders game to grab a brew before heading up north. Decently busy with a good vibe going on...but that was quickly squashed by the multiple jerks we encountered who worked there. Mediocre beer. Avoid.

Being from Seattle ive been to this place a few times. Beer is mediocre and so is the food. Don't bother going if the Seahawks or Sounders are playing, you wont get in. Its overpriced for the beer but you're paying fpr the location, I guess.

I came in here not long after they'd sold to AB INBev and that kind of tainted my experience. It shouldn't have but my mind couldn't help feeling a bit resentful.

There were lots of beers in a cooler for to-go sales and a big restaurant feel to the place (Capitol Hill location). Something about the place was sterile and I guess another thing that rubbed me wrong was the liquor on display too. I want a brewery, not a bar, when I visit a brewery or one of its satellites.

Still, the beers here tasted pretty good and the service was fine. Beer selection varied and there were some unique offerings I wouldn't just find in a store. Worth a visit, I suppose.

ok...this is a very simplistic review. i had attended the seattle mariners game and left early(they were getting spanked) to go to elysian. i was one of six or so people at the bar at the time(seats at least twenty five) and ordered their standard ipa..it came in a plastic cup. i requested a glass and was informed game days they will not give a glass. sorry...that sucks ass...they were at maybe 10 percent capacity for the entire place. i left and walked about fifty yards to get myself a nice seattle made pint in a glass. plastic is fine for the ball park, but not a brewpub, especially if i would be considered special it i received one.
