Mort's is a nice little cigar bar in the Old Town district of Wichita. The inside is kind of small, but nice and warm. Between that and the very nice wait staff, it makes for a great atmosphere. That being said, most of the action happens on the patio. It is always packed out there, and there is usually a decent blues band playing. They have tons of portable heaters that allow them to extend the outdoor partying season well beyond that of other bars.

The beer selection, while not huge, does carry a wide selection of craft beer and imports, as well as some items that are hard to find in other Wichita establishments. Great seasonals and brews such as New Belgium 1554 and Lindeman's Framboise are on tap and ready to grace your glass. While the beer is great, a lot of people come for the martinis (and I use that term loosely). If you ever drop into Mort's and are into spicy foods, try the Hot Martini (Absolut Peppar, jalapeno juice, and hot sauce). Good stuff!

Being a cigar bar, Mort's sells stogies on site, but, like any other similar establishment, they are way over-priced. I recommend taking your own smokes.

Mort's is a nice relaxing place to go if you find yourself in Wichita. Good beer and great people.

Disclaimer: Mort's is a cigar bar not a beer bar. If you are looking for cigars, beer, and live music- then you will love this place. If you are looking for 2 of the 3 then you may have better luck elsewhere and if only 1 of 3 sound good then don't waste your time.

The atmosphere at Mort's is great. Go when the weather is nice and sit on the patio.

The quality is just what you would expect from a place like this.

Service is the sore spot for Fort's. They are often quite busy and seem incapable of scheduling the staff accordingly. Unless you sit at the bar plan on wating for a while.

The selection here is weak but they have a strong list of liquors available. Everything here is a little pricey but not ridiculous.

Go to Fort's once and have a great time. Take your own cigars and enjoy the music.

Mort's was a decent little place. The atmosphere is ok. It was definitely a small joint. Seems like they have a very loyal crowd. This place doesn't open up until 3pm. I got there just before 4 and they had quite a few patrons already.

Quality is pretty normal.

Service was fine. I beat the bartender to the punch. She was going to come serve us but I walked up to the bar before she had a chance. She served me right away.

Selection isn't that great for beer. They had a huge liquor list, but beers were mostly BMC oriented. I really don't know why this place made it on to BA.

Value is fine. Pretty typical $3-4 for a pint.

What's nice about this place is there are a few nice beers on tap or in bottles. So if you're a cigar smoker and looking for a place to have a beer and a cigar, Mort's is a great choice. The price of Scotch is a bit outrageous though. $7-8 for 2 oz? Maybe $5-6 would be ok.
