The first beer on the beer list, this Helles is a great beer. A good one to start off with. Slightly fruity flavor, medium carbonated, tall head that goes away in a few minutes. Light golden color, true to the style. Uses Hallertau and Pearle hops, but not much hop flavor.

Into a pint glass, poured a flat goldish color with a bit of head to nothing, and nice thick lacing. Aroma is decent enough, and taste is a solid helles, nice malt but hops are missing. Nothing nearly special, just a good drinkable beer after a good days hiking.
