12 oz. bottle poured into a tumbler style pint glass.

It pours a crystal clear, rich copper that is initially topped with two fingers of near white, fine foam. This lays down to just a crown within a few minutes. Lacing is good while the head is up but poor once it recedes.

The nose is weak, offering only cola like caramel malt, an earthy rainwater aroma and some hints of yeast.
As with the nose the taste is caramel forward, malty and fairly sweet. The finish is quick clean and dry. There is a nice medium body to it that is smooth except for a quick bite in the middle from the medium to high carbonation.

I like this one more than the numbers would indicate. Smooth and easy drinking as it is, the three that I have are going quickly. The issue is that it doesn't seem to fit well into the style, my bottles are labeled Vienna Style Beer and it does have some Vienna Lager like qualities.

Copper-amber color. Crystal clear. Minor head which settles quickly to rim bubbles. Nearly no lace.

Earthy, soapy with wet cardboard and sweet caramel nose.

Thin bodied with an average carbonation, this beer leans sweet. It starts weak but has a surprisingly robust finish. The aftertaste has a lingering sweetness that is balanced just enough. I get a touch of alcohol along with "autumn" flavors of a Märzen. If one can get by the smell, the beer is palatable but average.

Had this on 2016-12-17 in Columbia, PA from a 12oz bottle.

A - Clear amber with a 1.25-finger white head and decent lace.

S - Very little aroma. Just a touch of malt sweetness.

T - Sourdough bread, light caramel, mineral, nuts. Somewhat acerbic bitterness in the finish.

M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation.

O - Had this side-by-side with a Yuengling (Amber) Lager and preferred the Yuengling. This has more bitterness but is harsher. Not a bad brew by any means; just not something I'd seek out regularly.

9/25/16...pours mostly clear amber with white foam lid layer. Nose has cola and vanilla, mostly sweet. Taste is a light sweet caramel malt with a light bitter back. Firm carbonation bite with a light spice. Hints of cream soda.

Amber Ales have a hard time pleasing me, I often taste a little taste and wish there was more taste. This is pretty good, it has a little more body than a typical amber, a nice hops profile and most importantly looks great poured into a glass. If only it tasted as good as it looks. The smell is dull, but I prefer it to a Sam Adams.
