Pours cloudy, dark gold. From 500ml bottle. Nice foamy head, decent lacing. Nose is simple enough, toasty, nutty and slightly sweet. Taste is banana and honey wheat. Feel is beautifully smooth and full. Good stuff. Heart winter hefeweizen.

grapevine is blowing these out right now, so i took a chance on a very affordable bottle, but this totally impressed me as well as my guests! its a lovely winter wheat beer, i expected it to be dark just because of the winter aspect, but its actually quite pale, a shade or two darker towards caramel than their original hefe, creamy headed and rich looking through a light haze, festive in its own way, very lively looking. the aroma is awesome, floral honey and toasted nuts, almost breakfasty in that way. i get the wheat here, toasted bread and baked bran, its heartier than their original hefeweizen, but still majorly drinkable, i love the light sweetness in the flavor with the wheat, its just awesome, classically german on the yeast, banana and minerals and almonds, great body, protein, starch, also lots of spice notes that linger all the way through. i great cold weather german brew, even with a year on it, not a trace of oxidation or anything. upbeat carbonation has it drinking easy too. head on down to grapevine and get a very affordable bottle before they are gone! i was really surprised and impressed with this. i dont often think of germany when it comes to holiday beers, but this really hits the mark! far better than its ratings...

Pours hazy, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is banana, clove, and sour dough bread. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet. More dry than most hefes that I have had. Has a bit of a pilsener taste. Good, although I prefer others in the style.

Poured into a weizen glass, the appearance was a muddled burnt dark orange color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated pretty quick. But there’s no lacing. The aroma had some of the normal qualities of a hefeweizen (some clove, banana esters, sweet wheat) and then some red delicious apples. The flavor brought the hefeweizen qualities inward sweetly and letting the clove slide further to the background. Some sharp phenols hit slyly. But normal hefeweizen aftertaste touching the finish crisply. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good, some prickliness. Overall, "if it fits, it ships," thanks Erdinger for sending across the pond. I could drink this again.

rom 2d2despuma. In Bavaria glass. Playing South Park Stick of Truth. The typical banana-clove of a hefe are replaced here with some dusty yet pleasant dry spicyness. A bit more foamy than desiderable
