Scent is sweet bready. Pours very pale ,slightly hazy, yellow with very full and thick white head. Head lasts well and laces the glass in fine drapery to the bottom! Taste is crisp, honey lemon and biscuits. Very fine carbonation, no bitterness at all! Highly enjoyable.

One of the best Krystal Weizen in Germany. I've lived it for 10 years and tried others. Only Weihenstephan beats this....but that's difficult to find. (I[m in NRW. There are great lagers, Helles, down south.) No Banana taste in this one. If you order it from a bar, ask for it without lemon... not required.

It is a very bright hay gold color with good lacing and a nice white head. It has a strong weizen aroma. The usual cloves banana, cloves and spices. The taste strongly resembles the smell except there are some citrus and floral esters from the hops. The mouthfeel is fizzy with a little burn and pretty light. It is to drink and a great anytime beer.

Serving Type: 500 mL Bottle poured into an Erdinger Weissebier glass

A- Pours a "Kristal" clear gold colour (a little richer than a typical light lager). Fluffy white head with good retention. Thick patches of lacing.

S- Mainly bready with a hint of bubblegum. No typical Banana flavour found in a Weissebier (I expect that has something to do with the filtering process. A clean, crisp flavour that is a nice change of pace from the typical Wheat Beer.

T- Like the aroma, the flavour is very clean and crisp: Mainly a wheat/bready note, a hint of bubblegum, and an earthy/floral hops.

M- Light Body and steady, smooth moderate carbonation. Wet finish. Extremely refreshing.

O- The first Kristalweizen I've had the Privilege to try and I have to say that I was deeply impressed. Clean and crisp flavours comparable to the Czech Pilseners with the added Body/flavour of Wheat malt.

A- Huge 3+ finger head, extremely clear, golden beer. The head is huge and reminds me of Miller, but it leaves very nice lacing down the glass as the foam fades. The color, clarity and ample carbonation reminds me of champagne. Jaw-droppingly beautiful, not your average looking wheat..

S- More of a grassy smelling wheat. Lots of elegant light malts and (again) champagne yeast. Subdued banana scents, but they are definitely there. This is not nearly as light smelling as I thought it would be; in fact, this is remarkably spicy. Almost aggressive smelling.

T- Lighter corn husk malts, slight adjunct quality, but with more depth. Not a bad beer, just nothing spectacular. Slightly above average, quite refreshing and light but not completely boring. Almost zero aftertaste, maybe a slight spice.

M- Quite good. Despite it's bubbly nature, the carbonation is not overwhelming; in fact, like everything about htis beer, the bubbles are subdued. Unexpectedly thicker body, which is quite nice.

D- Excellent drinkability. Very sessionable, slightly higher ABV but nothing overpowering.
