From a cask at The Rising Sun in Manchester.
Pours with a dark reddish-brown body and a semi-durable off-white head that leaves plenty of lacing sticking to the glass.
The flavor is mildly bitter and considerably better than the aroma suggests. There's a lot of chocolate here, as well as lingering notes of dark breads.
Very smooth, near medium body with soft carbonation.

A good English stout, kind of the beer I wish would be served instead of the insipid draught Guinness that is found across the land.

Lots of cocoa , some coffee, decent bitterness , touch of lactic tang and a nice drying, morish finish.

A: poured from a 500 mL bottle into a dimpled pint glass, dark red brown almost black with a short tan head that dissipates leaving some lacing, clear

S: patent malt and dark chocolate, bittersweet coco, light earthy hops

T: coffee, bittersweet choclolate, very little sweetness, heavy British hop bitterness on finish, earthy

M: medium with lower carbonation

O: bitter stout with bittersweet chocolate flavor
