Poured from a 12 ounce bottle dated 3-9-26 into a tulip glass at 48 degrees F.
Appearance- Pale gold, moderately hazy, white creamy head, slightly below average head retention, below average lacing.
Aroma- Bready, orange zest, lemon, peppery, medium strength of scent.
Flavor- Orange zest, bready, lemon, peppery, between weak and medium strength of flavor.
Mouthfeel- Between thin and medium body, average carbonation, mildly creamy, moderately dry finish, mildly mouth warming, mildly bitter, mildly sweet.
Overall- Pale gold and moderately hazy with slightly below average head retention and below average lacing. The bouquet was a mix of bready malt, orange zest, lemon and pepper with medium strength. The flavor followed the nose with the orange zest slightly more prominent than the malt, but the flavors as a whole were lower in intensity. The mouthfeel consisted of between a thin and medium body, mild creaminess, mild sweetness and a moderately dry finish. Overall, this beer was simple and malty with notes of citrus and pepper, and the mouthfeel was thinner than expected with too dry of finish.

Pours a hazy opaque orange color with a creamy head. On the nose you get orange essence and some coriander. Notes of orange and oats on the palette. What many consider to be a quintessential gateway beer. If all you have ever enjoyed is an American macro light lager then a Blue Moon feels foreign and exciting. Unfortunately, it's simply too sweet and one dimensional to be anything more than meh when it compares to all other Belgian Whites.

Extremely overrated. The more I have the more I hate. The flavor is extremely sweet in an unexplainable way. Not even a tasty sweet, like a stomach curdling sweet.

Not bad at all, for something you can find anywhere.

For better or worse, this is what I use as the standard against which I judge other Belgian Whites. It's decent, but easy to surpass.

It’s fine, if I’m in the mood for a beer like this I would usually go for a german hefe.
Medium body, smooth, sweet with a hint of citrus.
A good thing about this beer is its availability, you can find it everywhere and at most restaurants, its a quality beer but nothing special.

I think this might be the most mediocre beer I've ever tried, the taste is sweet but not unpleasant, the aroma is faint, the appearance quite unremarkable
