Copenhagen 28/8 2021. 50 cl bottle bought at the brewery by my in-laws. Water color painting of the Bovbjerg Lighthouse on the label.
Pours unclear, dark brown with red hue. Big off-white head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, slightly sugary, malty odor mingling with a light grainy sourness. Brown sugar, toffee, lightly toasted malts. Hints of unripe berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is flat and a bit thin.
Not much of the heaviness and gravity of a Dubbel.
