On tap at the brewpub in the University District, Albuquerque. Pale blonde color in the pint shaker with a modest foam. Fragrant with a resiny nose. A beery, lightweight brew that is pleasantly quaffable.

Tastes like a Pilsener with a resiny attack, plus an interesting aftertaste of honey. A scratchy flavor that seems to derive from more hops than average in this usually insipid style. Some malt with a hit of sweetness. One of the nicer uses of honey I've had in a light beer. [Transcribed from notes of 02/13/2013 visit].

I had this beer from the tap at the brewery in Los Lunas. Upon it's arrival and first taste, I asked if the beer was indeed the wheat beer, and not budweiser. the taste was that of budweiser. no head, very very little carbonation, and far too watery. I was greatly disappointed with this beer, and left half a pint on the table when I left! Because of this beer, I won't even waste my money on any other of tractor's beers. TERRIBLE BEER

Tractor- Haymaker Honey Wheat

Appearance- Light cloudy yellow with no head, no matter how hard I pour.
Smell- Very light honey aroma with dried out hay/ straw aroma.
Taste- Light lemon/ honey tea. Mild straw and hay flavor pokes through.
Mouthfeel- Very watery, very weak. Some honey sweetness in the end.

Overall- A dud! I easily drank a 6er of this on a hot afternoon, but otherwise I won'y buy again.

below average for a wheat beer. You're not missing out on anything if you don't try this beer. It's a little too sweet for my taste. Definitely not a session beer. Nor a beer you would seek out or recommend. Even with a lemon, this beer is still a little to sweet.

Poured a pale straw hue with a four finger foamy white head. There was good retention and decent lacing.

The smell featured a weak wheat malt with a musty hop and lemony aroma.

The taste consisted of a sour lemon with some slight esters.

The mouthfeel was thin with an uncomfortable sourness.

Overall a poor rendition of the style.

I've had some of the other tractor beers and this is by far the worst.

The mouthfeel and taste can be compared to that of seltzer or some sort of flavored sparkling water. It has little in the taste department and you'll get a slight bubble fizzing on your tongue.

I never review beers but this beer taste so awful that I felt compelled to actually go on here and write this as a caveat to others. avoid.

Single, twelve ounce bottle purchased from The Palisade Liquor Store in Jersey City...
Second beer from this New Mexico brewery, and overall, not a terrible stab at the style...
Pours a dark-golden hue with a minimal head that quickly dissipated and left a copious amount of lacing around the edge of the serving glass...
Honey-wheat aroma dominates this brew with slight essences of candied sugars...
Taste strongly paralleled the smell, and the mouthfeel proved slick and slightly watered down... Good level of drinkability due to the modest ABV and lack of cloying flavors...

Pours slightly hazed gold with a foamy white head.

The smell is of honey - litttle else.

The taste is of honey with something else going on - acidic - can't quite pinpoint it but I don't like it. Oddly astringent, esp. for the style.

It has a harsh, but light, body. I doubt that I've had an American Pale Wheat that is so rough in texture.

This is not a good example of the style. Lacks refreshing quality. Honey stands out, but mixed with something odd - not an "infected" taste, but "off". Up-side is that it is abrupt - doesn't linger.

Tried this New Mexican microbrew on tap at Little Anita's Grille. I wanted something light to complement my Taco Dinner Special and the server recommended this.
Appeared golden and clear with light carbonation. Had a fresh and almost neutral aroma. The honey manifested itself with the first sip. Not overwhelmingly sweet, but certainly recognizable as honey. Possessed a good balance of flavors with the honey never becoming predominant. I was disappointed by the watery mouthfeel which was a let down considering how well I enjoyed the other aspects of the beer. Overall, it made for a good partnering with my meal.

The beer pours a hazy pale gold color with a towering white head that damn near overflows the glass. The aroma is average. It has a dry, somewhat fruity scent that boasts of pale and wheat malts along with a destinct honey aroma. The taste is average as well. It has a tangy honey and wheat malt flavor that goes down with some prickly carbonation and finishes dry and fruity. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a low bodied beer with too much CO2. This is a beer that needs to be fine tuned. I'm sure when it's fresh it's good, but I'm gonna have to pass on another.

Pours a light golden in color with almost no head and very little carbonation. The smell is of mild wheat citrus, slight floral hops, and alot of honey action. This beer felt almost uncarbonated and dead (watery) in my mouth, which made the honey flavor in this beer much more pronounced. There was some slight spice and a nice little hop kick at the end of this beer, but other than that not much flavor variety. Though it is very lightly carbonated and sweet for a wheat beer, it is still very easy to drink, but you have to drink it cold or the sweetness becomes too much.

My natural reaction to seeing any fruit or sweetened "wheat" beers is usually something along the lines of: "Oh brother."

Pours a slight fogged gold with a muted nose that carries some mild honey. Flavor is actually quite nice. Smooth honey tones. Not a lot of complexity, but it's real nice. Carbonation is full and the liquid is good. Very drinkable and easily a session brew. I bet this would go well with a salad laden with goat cheese.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow. Fluffy head, with lots of retention, and pleanty of lacing. Lots of bubbles. Smell is of fruit, and lemony candy. Nice, but a bit too weak. Body is light, and very carbonated. Taste,if I could have given a 3.25 I would have. It's slightly better than average. Lemon, and citrus, with a tart candy like finish. Worth a try.

Pours an incredibly pale yellow color with a run-away head that resists fading because bubbles are flying up from within like an Alka Seltzer!

The smell is aggressive; all wheat. Light bodied, the mouth feel is overwhelmed by the effervescence. The flavor is light, crisp and singular.

Drinkability - There's not enough to this one for me. Can't see waisting time finishing it.

Poured out into something closely resembling apple juice. The nose is dusty, medicinal, slightly sweet. The taste is.... ummm... not good. I am trying to find a constructive way to describe this, but ti's just not good. No carbonation, slight, yet offensive flavor. Few to no redeaming qualities.
