i was visitting a friend in merrimac and was told abotts had a decent selection. i think i was looking for some smutty (a specific one, don't recall which) but they didn't have it.

however they did have a decent selection of micros and imports. nothing crazy but still enough that i spent 10 minutes looking it over to find what i wanted.

i believe all the beers were kept in the cooler so there was no worries about dates. the few dates i checked (i rarely remember to check dates) were within the limits.

i was asked a few times if i needed help and the few questions i had were answered to my satisfaction. but the help was more to run the deli and sell cigarettes than to help a beer geek.

abbotts is a little place but don't miss it.
