500ml bottle poured into a mug.

Jet black in color with massive soapy tan head with great retention, it doesn’t go anywhere and just slowly dissipates to thin creamy layer on the surface along with some sticky lacing.

Roasted malt with a note of black coffee and dark chocolate, oat with a breadiness-like, citrus and slight acidic from hop.

Roasted malt dominates as typical of Stout with a taste of black coffee, somewhat burnt biscuit, and astringency. Oat and dark bread is also what can be discovered somewhere in the middle of the tasting. Hop is quite zesty with a citrusy and acidic touch. Finish with moderate bitterness derives from both roasted malt and hop.

Medium body with smooth mouthfeel, carbonation is medium with some crisp through the palate, dry finish. It has more body and crispness than typical Irish or English Stout.

Pretty good brew indeed with all what you expect from Stout.

I liked everything, the only thing with which very much overdone it a lot of sweetness in the taste, it there with a large bust, I would have definitely reduced by half !!!

Served cold from 500ml bottle into Veltins pilsner mug.

L) Black, opaque with slight red tinge. Nice just off-white dense head.

S) Served cold, so muted. Slight roasted malt.

T) Hmmmm. A bit of rauchbier-like smoke, which is way random. After that, light roasted malt. Different!

F) Light for a stout, the smoke is a different angle for a 'stout' for sure.

O) A Czech 'stout' that appears to have been smoked. This is one to drink for those looking for all the beer world has to offer. As it happens it is a nicely balanced dark beer that goes down nice and easy on a warm day, but you can appreciate that the brewery has attempted something a little bit different.

Black color with a thick one finger caramel head with medium retention and leaving laces.
Nice chocolatey aroma with notes of hay and dark chocolate.
Flavor with notes of cocoa, spices, earthy and spicy hops, roasted nuts and grains, coffee and oats. Dry aftertaste with a nice and long roasted medium bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Pleasant stout with a chocolatey and spicy focus, easy to drink with a high drinkability given its lighter Porter like body.

A: Black with a ruby tinge when held to strong light. Topped with 5 fingers of beige head, good head retention.

S: Coffee, chocolate dusted cream, a good roasted quality. A slight floral, fruity quality.

T: Black coffee, heavily roasted malts with an ashy bitterness, bananas, a hint of sweetness. Also, there’s an underlying quality of iron, like hard water.

M: Medium thick body, light slightly foamy carbonation, a dry burnt finish.

O: I really enjoy this brew. Balanced? A little burnt, but that’s what I am enjoying about it. If you want balance, play it safe and drink a Guinness. I appreciate this brewery’s offerings as this is the 3rd of theirs I’ve had, all out of the box for a Czech brewer. Got it in Chiang Mai, drinking in Kunming, March 12th, 2014.

A: The beer is very dark amber (near black) in color and poured with a finger high off white head.
S: There are aromas of dark roasted malts and caramel in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has flavors of roasted malts and caramel.
M: It feels full-bodied on the palate and has a light amount of carbonation.
D: The beer goes down smoothly but needs to be sipped.

Pours black out of a .5l bottle with no head, very little carbonation and a small amount of lacing. A sweet, malty nose and a descent mouth feel. Much lighter than expected from the nose. It has a chalky chocolate, burnt coffee bitterness, with a slight caramel aftertaste. Wouldn't seek it out, but didn't hate it.

T: Smoked malts, chocolate, caramel.

M: Medium body with hidden carbonation, pleasant after taste.

D: Good stout, I'm very surprise to find such a good brew from a Czech vendor.

Drank from my Erdinger Weizen glass.

A - Pours a nice ebony colour with a tanned head that retains OK.

S - Quite sweet aromas and roasted malt.

T - Nice roaste malts coffee and toffe flavours well balanced.

M - Medium body and low carbonation.

D - Not a bad stab at an Irish stout but is a little underwhelming for me.

Not so good foam. Almost black in color.
In the smell toasted, coffee, burnt coffee. More a sweet stout in the smell.
In the taste a confirm of the smell notes. Again toasted, coffee, cocoa.
Pleasant and drinkable.
Quite thin body, good drinkability.
Again coffee and cocoa notes in the aftertaste, with a hint of roots.

The liquid is black with a red-brown edge. The finger thick head is warm brown and compact. Some lacing occurs.

The smell is malty and heavily roasted with notes of pumpernickel, some anonymous bitterness, clean sweet hints and a light sourness.

The taste is very smooth. Light notes of creamy, roasted malt: Coffee, liquorice, burned toasted bread. Some very mild bitter notes. The body is very thin. The aftertaste is light and roasted with some vegetables and coffee in the background, as well as some clean bitter flavours.

The carbonation is medium to low; the few bubbles are medium sized. The liquid is a bit watery, but at the same time very smooth.

A little too weak for me - still an OK Irish-style stout.

In some ways though the beer that was sat down in front of me was much like an espresso, very dark with a slight ruby tinge and head the colour of the foam on top of a good espresso.

The beer smelt fabulous, full of coffee and chocolate, with wonderful smoky depths to it.

As you would expect with a stout it was rather bitter, tasting of full roasted coffee, but nice and smooth going down.
