Gorgeous creamy head on this beer, aroma is sweet candy malt, and it dominates. taste is sweet with some caramel and toffee, mouthfeel is medium weight and slick. Nice sticky lacing. Once you get over the sweetness, this is pretty good and pretty to look at.

500ml bottle poured into a pils glass.

Transparent light amber color with thick silky off-white head with good retention, it gradually dissipates to thin long-lasting foamy sheet atop along with some lacing on the glass-side, medium visible carbonation.

Big malty aroma with a sweet bread and biscuit to even caramel quality yet lightly toasted too. Some spiciness and citrus from Saaz together with somewhat earthy and herbal, mild fruitiness reminds me of date palm, grape, and dried fruit.

Strong malty presence with a solid bready sweetness yet a little toasted character that nicely mingle with some spicy, herbal, earthy, citrusy, yet bitter hop profiles. There is also some fruitiness that is reminiscent of date palm, grape, and dried fruit in the background. Hop bitterness wraps up again in the finish as a medium long aftertaste. Alcohol is well concealed.

The body is medium with semi-smooth mouthfeel and medium carbonation that brings some crispness upon the palate, dry finish.

Overall, I would say this is an okay beer, however, I rather prefer much stronger character than this. Anyway, “Stronger” in this case is not something about ABV but appearance, aroma, and flavor.

Amber copper color with an off-white aired head with short retention.
Light aroma with notes of malt sweetness, hay, orange and plum marmalade, and honey.
Flavor with notes of malt concentrate, lots of spicy Saaz hops, cinnamon, lager yeast, mild toasted notes, honey, a pinch of cocoa, grains, grass and prunes. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7.5% abv is absent.
Classic and relatively complex Pale Doppelbock. Take further time to appreciate it and you will harvest a few subtle flavors hidden in its balance.

This brew pours a clear see through light golden honey hue with beautiful carbonation that leaves behind a frothy two finger head and some nice lacing here and there,i dont know if its an eastern european thing but i gotta admit this brewery loves sweet aromas from their brews and i have to say the sweet aromas are intoxicating(in a good way) as im not used to the sweet aroma in western beers and its a nice change, this brew has sweet aromas of bananna, peaches, apricot and toffee,it has an above average mouthfeel which is nicely carbonated and exudes tastes of bananna, bread, pancakes, sweet toffee and finishes with the smoothest sweet maple syrup finish, overall its a nice beer that is more sweet than bitter but from previous tastings from this brewery this is the norm with their brews and to be quite honest this is what makes me love beer whether it be bitter or sweet i just love the different avenues beers from different countries can take it really is one of the only universal products that is worldwide apart from currency.

poured into a tulip
A- pours a clear dark gold with about an 4cm of fluffy white head, that very slowly fades away. a bit of lacing.

S- upfront on the nose there is a heap of malt, sweet and biscuity. raisin, dark dried fruits, and with a touch of alcohol rounding things out. i like the smell.

T- to begin theres about a second of wateryness, but then the malt follows soon after. much the same as the smell to begin with, dried dark fruits with raisin at the forefront, a little bit of alcohol, which comes through more strongly as it warms. there is some hop bitterness in there which is not apparent in the aroma, but its not dominant, and is just there to round things out. not too bad, but a little dull.

M- mid-bodied, but not as thick as i was expecting. carbonation is a tiny bit prickly. bitter hop finish which has a pretty good length, and becomes a touch drying about a half minute after a sip, nice finish in there.

O- (used to be drinkability, haven't reviewed in a little while and didn't know it had changed). i enjoyed drinking this beer, but i think the 500ml bottles are a bit much purely because after you get used to the flavour it doesn't really throw up too much more. however, the flavour itself is quite pleasant, and enjoyable. i couldn't have more than one in an evening though.

A: Very clear lager look, little bit darker with medium head.

S: Alcoholic smell of malts.

T: Strong, sweet and bitter, hidden taste of caramel with apples. Strong tone of alcohol.

M: Light body with low carbonation, feels warm and leaves sweet after-taste.

D: Good beer for winter. :)
