Grabbed dinner at Poe's next door and walked over here. This place stays open late and that made it easy to swing by. Lots of options for buying single bottles. Staff was helpful as I asked about buying singles of Sunday Morning Stout and she broke up a four pack for me. Single bottle prices seemed slightly high, but considering the selection and helpful staff I won't complain. They also had some beers on tap and I got a free sample.

Good beers, good selection, lots of beer events.

Super nice girls working here, the place is a bit of a dive, and the picture makes it look much nicer on the outside than it actually is on the inside, but it's basically right on the ocean, but it's understandable that it looks a bit drab. The ladies let us sample the drafts and we found a couple of beers to try. Their selection was good but a bit dated, they let us know a couple other places to try in the Wilmington area and were nice about helping find things, good place to go hunting for good beers.

I shopped here 4 times during my one week stay in wrightsville beach. My wife and friends bought wine. I bought a bunch of beer to drink now and some to bring home. Exceptional service. Got help selecting beers that I could not get at home. I am a beer snob and would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality beer and wine.

In town and decided to stop in since this seemed to be the go to place for craft beer. Very tight, cramped space. However, the selection obviously makes up for it. Great beers on tap and you can get a growler to go if you want. Excellent bottle selection and a fridge full of beers. Their local NC beer selection is what impressed me. The prices were fair. But, if you get any singles, it's somewhat costly if you are trying to do a mix 6. I'll definitely stop back in next time I'm in the area.

My go-to place. They always have something I want, the prices are fair, and the service is phenomenal. 5s across the board.

Love that they have beers on tap while you peruse the bottle selection. Great variety of bottles and about 8 taps or so- can get growlers.

Lighthouse is an explosive beer and wine market that not only offers the best of the best beers/wines but man can they put on a kick A** beer festival! Jason the owner is very nice but sometimes i feel badly for the man because he is always so busy! The staff is great and very knowledgeable about beers. I tried to get a job there when i received a text they were hiring (not to mention i have given him multiple resumes over the years! LOL), I also supplied him with some Heady topper and Pliny for his famous VORACIOUS VIP tasting but sadly i never even got a call about an interview.. Overall, this place is awesome, great knowledge, great selection and friendly! If your in Wilmington and don't stop in, it should be considered a crime!

Took a detour here on the way to Cherry Grove SC and are really glad we did. Great selection and service. We were mainly looking for NC beer and some Bells Two Hearted that we can not get in NY. There was a really good selection of NC beers. We could not have been happier. Got a case of the Bells, bombers of French Broad, Olde Hickory, Stone 16th Anniversery, tried an Aviator?.

Prices were all reasonable when compared to what we would have paid at home. Cheaper actually.

The guy that helped us could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable. Wish we asked his name, cause he was great. The store started to get a little busier as we were finishing up, so we kinda wanted to get out of the way. He will probably remember us as the Heady Topper couple.

It is small, but not lacking in selection in any way. Well worth the small detour for us and we will add it as a must stop on all of our future vacations.

Was in town for a few days visiting some friends. Headed to the beach on Saturday, and swung by here on our way back out. Location is nice as it is right off the main road that takes you to the beach. Small little shop, that feels a bit cramped if there are more than 5-6 people in there, but that is a small price to pay for the massive selection! Coolers line the walls filled with all sorts of chilled goodies. The center is shelf after shelf of more great beer. It would be impossible for even the most distinguishing of palates to not find something here they would like. The prices I saw were comparable to any other bottle shop I frequent. A couple of guys working there at the time were friendly and helpful. I visited with my wife and daughter so unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to visit the Beer Garden, but next time for sure. Great place that I highly recommend!

This place is a nice hidden bottle shop for a out of towner. Great selection for size of store. You can find some rares here that are harder to find in areas with a larger craft beet following. I walked in and picked up a six pack of hopslam and they had a barrel aged Yeti which is very rare for NC area. So if you enjoy the hunt this place will always have some hidden gems. The two fellas working here were very helpful. If you go then you have to enjoy a beer in their beer garden. I will be frequenting this bottle shop each time I am in the area.

This place is fantastic. There's a wide selection of popular micros ad well as some good hard to finds.
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and continually made great recommendations. If you're lucky enough to stop by when Anna is working, she'll hook you up with good brews.
Hands down, the best thing about this place is the beer garden. It's so relaxing, and there's nothing like grabbing a good beer and relaxing. If you're in there area, stop at this place. I promise you won't regret it.

Thanks to BA for having this place on the radar. Went to Wilmington on a business trip for a conference, couldn't pass this up after reading about it online. It was pretty easy to find, right after the intracoastal bridge on the right. Rather small place but had plenty of selection. Grabbed a Uinta Detour Double India Pale Ale, a six pack of Founders Centennial IPA, some Left Hand's, Terrapins, and a mixer of Great Divide. Great selection of 22's, where is this place when I vacation in South Carolina!

Very small place, but a great selection of beers for the area. You can find the local NC stuff such as Duck Rabbit and Highland or larger micros such as Dogfish Head, Rogue, and Flying Dog. Also has a decent selection of Belgians and a few obscure things. Was able to pick up some Majahara Imperial IPA, Hercules Oak Aged Imperial Stout, and Duck Rabbit Rabbid Duck Imperial Stout. Talked with owner Jason Adams who was wonderful and made some great suggestions as to other beers to try. Definitely the place to stop if anywhere in the area.

Right on the way to Wrightsville beach. Beer seems to be the focus here. Which is nice to see. Really nice selection. Lots of bombers and six packs. One case of 12oz singles which would be the one area that could be improved- but really, given the size of the building this is better than you could expect. The majority of the beer is in cold storage too which is also great, especially since it's so hot down here. Prices are very fair. The people were also helpful and very friendly- definitely makes me want to head back on the way home, if not before.

This place is awesome. Great selection on imports, Belgians, micros from across the country and the NC beers were well-represented! The girl was helpful and they had a large selection of singles that were all $1.75 each. Lots of cold selections. This place is what a beer store should be! Easy to find. I mentioned BA while I was there also. Great selection of bombers also. I would shop here evry day if I lived in the Wilmington/Wrightsville area. They made sure I had a six-pack holder to carry my beers. This placed also sells wine but beer seems to be the dominant product and the first thing I saw when I walked in was a shelf with " New Arrivals " and it included Rochefort trappist among others.

quality: Checked some dates...everything seemed ok. No telling how quickly the beers are moved, but everything is probably fine. Almost all the beers are refrigerated, key in this warm climate.

service: Good service. I am always asked if I need some help and the guys are pretty knowledgeable.

selection: Damn good selection, top two in the Wilmington area for sure, and the only place to go if you're on this side of town. Pretty much all NC micros that are distributed outside of their immediate regions and a huge selection of other American micros. I picked up some cans of Brooklyn Lager to take to the beach, but the selection goes way beyond that. There's even a decent singles selection.

Lighthouse is a breeze to find just after you cross the inland waterway bridge going onto Wrightsville, take an immediate right and a left. You cannot miss the brightly painted store.

Everything for the most part is in the cold case. Sixers and mix packs as well as a small single bottle selection. At first I started to put the selection at a 4.5 but opted for the 4.0 since not everything is represented, however enough things were there, a few that still haven't made it further inland, that this would be a destination if in the Wilmington area. The prices were some of the best in the state. Westmalle Tripel at $9 is $2-3 less expensive than anywhere else.

The service was attentive and quick and the quality due to the refridgerated selection was high. Give this place a whirl.

This place is awsome.I felt it only fitting to do this review since the laws have changed in our great state of NC from 6.0% to 15.0% Upon arrival (1st right after the drawbridge) you are greated by wall coolers which stock a large assortment of various beers from around the world....finally!!!

Folks who know what they are doing stay in this area right inside the door (also across from the checkout counter for those who need to ask questions i suppose) The selection was greater than some others in town. right now it is really hard to find a lot of the good beers in the state because as soon as they hit the shelfs there gone, but i caught them after a delivery, and the place keeps good hours 10pm weekdays and 12pm weekends.

Cape Fear Beer and Wine is also in town, across town at that. The staff was really helpful and i will continue to be a loyal customer. Great lil beer store for a awsome lil town. Check it out if your in the area you will not be dissapointed

The Lighhouse Beer and Wine is kind of hard to find if you don't see it know where it is, but it is located on the right, right past the bridge leading to Wrightsville Beach from Wilmington. Walk in and beer fridges are lining the wall on the right. Filled with single bottles as well as 6 packs of tasty stuff, from local to regional and all around. Selection is probably as good as you are going to find in North Carolina. Sorry bout the 6.0 ABV law. The people working there knew what they had, and new what they were talking about.
