Poured from 330ml bottle into glass, Label is stamped best before '01 JUL 18'.
Medium amber color, clear body. Minimal head settles to thin ring and slight head. No lacing.
Aroma of malts and hops to marmalade finish.
Taste and aroma of amber/malt balance.
Medium mouth feel to type.
Beer is totally balanced to type by appearance, aroma, taste, and appearance.
Totally good beer but balanced to type.

This is a good one, for sure. But think we would rather support American breweries, so prob wont be buying it. Also prob quite pricey.

From a can acquired at LCBO.
Look - a little lighter than expected, looks like a Vienna lager (clear amber) more than an English ale (half-transparent reddish). Nice head but quickly disappears, carbonation is so-so.
Smell - caramel, pretty much the only smell.
Taste - light caramel, sweet, with a nice bitterness to it, really easy drinking. No way to tell it's almost 6% alcohol.
Feel - not enough depth and thickness, lacks body in my opinion.
All in all - nice ale which hides its alcohol strength well, not offensive, very easy drinking, but really lacks body, too submissive, does not have an aspect that stands out. It would be perfect if it had a little bit more of both hops and malt.

To me this is the standard by which I measure all ESB's it has the perfect taste, the perfect balance of caramel and slight bitterness that gives it a nice rounded flavor, smells nice and malty, leaves a nice malty taste in the mouth. Excellent for anyone who enjoys bitters or wants to try for the first time.

16oz draft poured into a pint glass shows a bright orange leaning amber colored body that briefly floats a light tan soapy head.
Aroma is a nice mix of malt and bitter, but subtle.
Flavors include a darker bitterness, not so much a bite, but rather a chomp.
Not a taste on the tongue, but more a mouth filling taste.
Mouthfeel is medium and leans full, but not remotely heavy.
Overall it was the perfect foil for my smoked salmon sandwich.
