12oz bottle poured into a pint

A- pours a deep brown color with just a hint of light creeping through, one-finger creamy off-white head has good retention

S- nutty brown malts bring out aromas of chocolate and caramel, as well as brown bread & hints of coffee and fig

T- nutty caramel malt up front gives flavors of brown bread crust, followed by silky chocolate toasted nuts. Mid-palate brings out a hint of coffee and earthy tones, the finish gives just a hint of dark fruit and lingers of toasted brown malts, chocolate & caramel

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish, high drinkability

O- a classic, the standard of the style, and one that I don't drink enough, outstanding

Dark cola color. Minimal beige-tan head. Malty aroma with a very subtle hint of a little something else... sort of a caramel. Kind of a nutty full flavor initially with a noticeable amount of carbonation then thins out a bit at the finish. A nice Porter overall.

The beer is black and the head disappeared quickly. The beer smells of coffee with a hint of chocolate. A very strong coffee flavor including that coffee bitterness and it then tails off to a sweetness of chocolate. The beer feels very light for a porter.

A dark beer with little carbonation, & thin for a porter.
Drinkable, with a nice bittersweet woodsy chocolate aftertaste.
Good, but not memorable.

Look- dark brown, almost black liquid; bubbly off white head that fades to a ring around the edge of the glass

Aroma- coffee grounds, dark chocolate, a little bit smoky

Taste- Intense chocolate and coffee right to start, followed by subtle smoke and bitterness

Feel- light bodied

Overall- outstanding porter, very flavorful

Look- Deep, rich brown- lighter than American porters. Slight white lacing of head on top, low carbonation.

Smell- Very sweet and malty scent, no hop scent at all.

Taste- Malty and sweet beer, notes of toffee and slight note of semi-sweet chocolate. No hop taste. Balanced porter; little to no aftertaste.

Feel- Light and watery compared to other porters, not nearly as that 'heavy' feeling. Carbonated more than American porters; fizz on the top of mouth while swallowing. Low ABV, no alcohol taste or warmth.

Overall- Although not something I would usually drink, it was pleasant enough. Easy to drink due to low ABV, classic English style porter
