Serving Type: 500 mL can

I should mention that this is not my first can of Fullers London Pride. That being said, my thoughts and opinions on this wonderful porter have not changed.

A - Pours black and is crowned by a beautiful tan head about 2 fingers tall. Looks like your average stout/porter until you shine a light on it; with the assistance of a flashlight, this beer sports an extremely sexy ruby, almost crimson colour.

S- Fairly common porter smell of very dark, burnt malts; a little bit of dark coffee. A little bit of sweetness comes through that really adds to the maltiness.

T- What a flavour bomb this is! Quite creamy and nutty! Lots of roasty malts and just the right amount of hop flavour.

M- Medium body with medium carbination; silky smooth!

O- I would highly recommend this to anyone who is into porters/stouts and isn't looking for an over abundance of bitterness. Fullers London Porter is packed with malty goodness that will not disappoint.

Poured into pint glass and immediately thought it looks a little light for a porter but it has a nice white head and lace. Or at least a little lighter than most porters. The smell has that burnt malt smell you'd expect but is also has a sweetness to it that you usually don't smell in a porter. At this point I'm not really expecting much out of this beer. The first sip changed my thinking quick. Very creamy and bold. It might be a little light but not to extreme to discount this as a porter. I very much enjoyed the consistency and drinkability. I think you can have a few of these in one session. Overall, I really liked this and will definitely have more of these is the fall and winter with some chilli.

A:
Pours a clearish, cola black with a half-inch tan head that quickly settles to a film. Okay retention; good, stringy lacing.

S:
Rich and earthy. Nuts, malt, licorice, coffee.

T:
Tastes rich and slightly creamy. Nutty and almost burnt with some dirty notes and rich, mouth-coating roasted malt flavors. Really nice!

M:
Medium body. Good crisp carbonation. Incredibly drinkable. Nice.

O:
A damn fine porter! It seems very "Porter-esque" to me. That is, it has all that I like in porters and nothing of what I don't. Rich and hearty. Warming and dank.
Would have again.
Worth trying.

A: Dark brown, relatively large head but quickly dissipates to a small ring.
S: Chocolate, dark breadcrust.
T: Full toffee, dark chocolate. Quite bitter.
M: Very smooth, full-bodied. Slight (acidic) astringency in the finish.
O: very nice beer, interesting complex flavours but very drinkable nonetheless.
