Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, ABV 8.5%. Cognac colour, off-white head. Aroma of oak and whisky, hints of red berries. The same elements in the flavour too, more distinct now, also hints of dark dried fruits.

Bottle conditioned (10783 - April 2016). Amber. Light tan head. Gently rising bubbles.
Fruity, woody aroma. Hints of vanilla. Reminiscent of the Christmas cake I baked this year.
The whisky comes through on tasting. Bitter finish. Quite boozy.
The conditioning is good, lacks real depth but the alcohol saves it.
Glad I let it settle for nearly two years.

L:
-pours a clear copper with a small to medium, foamy, offwhite head
-low carbonation visible
S:
-strawberries,plums,caramel,toffee,raisins,syrupy
T:
-Follows the nose + vanilla pudding with strawberry sauce, molasses, scotch whisky, coffee and a tanin bitterniss
F:
-medium carbonation
-medium body
-boozy
O:
A fine Strong Ale by Fuller's, as per usual.
The Cask Influence almost exclusively comes through on the taste and is much more subtle than in most other barrel-aged Beers.

From Boxbeers. In Teku glass. Playing Hiiro. Soft and pleasant whisky notes in mouth and superb in nose. However, I prefer their vintage brew, as I find this one more unidimensional

Clear copper, little head.
Aromas .. Vanilla, malts, fruit peel, orange maybe.
Taste is a well cellared English strong ale with a hint of vanilla, orange, and a bed of malts. Nice and complex.
Only downside is quite watery for Fullers, ( normally amazing body ) and even worse at ABV
Really quite enjoyable despite a few shortfalls....

Golden appearance with just the right amount of head and carbonation. The aroma is fruity. Very smooth taste from the oak aging without any alcohol after taste.
