The colour is copper, the liquid is clear. The two fingers head is airy and off-white, it sinks quickly into a thin ring.
The smell is fresh with malty notes of crispbread, apricot jam and dried flowers. It is a bit mild.
The taste is rather light and malty with dry notes of rye bread, apricot jam and cheap toffee candy. There is a slight sourness rather than bitterness. Light to medium body. The sour note fades in the aftertaste, leaving room for growing clean sweet flavours, dried fruits and some floral hops. The finish is short with old/oxidized hops.
The carbonation is light, the beer gets stale rather quickly. The small bubbles are long-lived. The liquid is a bit harsh.
This was the beer that replaced Fuller’s Chishwick Bitter in the Swedish supermarkets. As this one isn’t half as good, I am very disappointed.
