Pours clear reddish tinged copper. Smallish head.

Some spicy marmalade hopppy goodness on the nose, rather elegant

Much more marmalde on the tongue, give way to spicy hops and the pithy bitterness. Great dryness, body, taste. One of the best examples of everything a good IPA should be, a perfect marriage of components

It's a pity Fullers don't bottle condition all their beers

Great tasting English IPA. Earthy hops mix with candied fruit and sweet malts in the taste which finishes with a pleasing bitterness. The aroma is of candied fruit and marmalade with an inviting English yeast note.

This is a very well balanced and flavourful English IPA. It has some complexity with hoppiness and sweet fruitiness mingling in perfect harmony. A different category of beer from American IPAs with less citrus and tropical hop flavours but more earthy hops. Well crafted and interesting to the last drop as Fullers beers often are.

A: Gold with a slight chill haze that turns brilliant gold as it warms. Sports a 3” finely bubbled white foam cap that hugs the side of the glass marking each drink with a line of thick lace.
S: Earthy hops and fruit with some biscuit.
T: Spicy graham cracker grain with background fruits and an earthy hop accent on the finish.
F: Very creamy texture – almost nitro like – medium low carbonation and medium body.
O: This is a delightful beer that really showcases English malts.

22oz bottle best by 1/28/15 poured into a pint glass
A: Light orange color with a one-finger head that quickly settles
S: Malt, caramel, a touch sweet just a hint of hops and an odd metallic finish
T: Matches the nose. Malt-forward with hops for balance, caramel/a bit sweet but nothing unpleasant
M: Medium-bodied, a bit sweet
O: Drinkable but I'm in no rush to re-visit. May be worth trying fresh rather than the last best-by date
