Served in a Hefeweizen glass, it pours a golden orange, hazy and deep, with a four-finger head, creamy and frothy, with excellent retention. Very nice lacing.

The bouquet is very bready and malty, caramel is present too. Quite strong too though are the hoppy notes, in the form of herbal freshness, grass and lemon. A very mild green apple or pineapple hint could be noticeable as well.

Citrus, herbal freshness, lemon tea with honey, spices, slight malty sweetness. That's the thrust of initial flavor. Soon after the hoppy bitterness enters and balances those previous notes without overshadowing them. The flavor has nice length, and the aftertaste is predominantly bitter, and it feels like the bitterness of some teas. A reminiscent sweetness crowns the finish.
Medium body, smooth, with nice carbonation.

Complex, rich, scrumptious, and historic beer! Definitely a go!

Pours a nice amber colr. Quickly receding foam.

Smell is malty and slightly metallic. Grassy with hints of Swedish soft drink Pommac.

Taste is bready and malty, slightly sweet. Soft bitterness, and a slightly tangy finish.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a typical classic English IPA. Not very bitter, but easy to put away.

IPA but full of honey and biscuit, malty taste, both in smell and taste.
Quite lightly hopped by US standard these days, and an extremely refreshing beer.

1st Bottle from Aldi. 33cl. In Ikea's Pint glass. Watching Los Soprano 5x08. Caramel with a strong old school herbal bitterness that balances very well the malt and provides an pleasant overall experience. Long lasting foam

2nd bottle from Labirratorium. In same glass. Playing Shadows of Vatican. Similar to previous one. Feels a bit more fresher (although is 3 months older, bb Jan 18) but have slight veggie notes not much pleasant and has less foam. I'd give it the same score as one thing compensates the others

This might have been one of the first English IPAs I ever had. Good bright copper color, good clarity, almost 3/4" white head on the top. Aroma hit some apple like sweetness, earthy hop vibe.

Taste is a mix of mildly fruity English yeast, hop bitterness, toasted pale malts giving way to toffee and caramel in the mouth feel. Like a steel drum. Very sessiony, easy to drink as long as you're just not totally against hops. Its not heavily hopped, its old school, but enjoyable. Wish the format was a little more friendly price wise though.

On tap at Shakesbeer pub in Grenoble, France. A classic English Ipa. Somehow I was expecting more. It's balanced but not as much on the English hops as their London Pride, which I prefer. The carbonation is nor high nor low but doesn't put the tasting experience at its best
