Sample from cask at the brewery. Golden colour. Aroma and flavour of citrussy American hops, very refreshing and pleasant. Also hints of tropical fruits. Might rerate when I get a full pint.

Picked this up at the excellent Fuller's brewpub at the international terminal at Heathrow. Good food and wide selection of Fuller's offerings. Also, a great gift store, where I snagged this IPA, not available in Quebec. It's ironic to be drinking a British version of an American IPA, "inspired by the American CRAFT brewery movement". I feel like I'm drinking in circles. Even though it uses Cascade, Willamette, and Chinook hops, the citrus is restrained and does not assault your nose. At 4.5% ABV how would you double-hop anyway and still remain balanced? This was very tasty and refreshing but it tasted more like a Session IPA than a double-hopped APA. Still wish I could buy it again.

Bought from Waitrose London. 300ml can. BB 30/4/19. 4.5% ABV
L- Mid gold, some rising CO2. Thin head clears quickly; though I'm starting to wonder if this glass is a 'gas-killer' so won't rate it down on lack of head.
S Very nice, fresh with light citrus aroma
T Dry, hoppy, broadens to a dry palette and finish.
M It's clearly very hopped and dry, yet it has just enough body to carry it off [for me]. It's not like some contempory beers that are as fashionably hopped as this yet lacking body, which are so bluntly dry, well, one I had last night made me physically shudder; a first!
O So if I wanted a well hopped beer, BUT one that dealt it together with comepnsating body, then this might be it. There is a slight citrus edge [citra hops, or similar?] that adds another dimension to the proposition.
Now checking the can for a description: 'Roaringly refreshing pale ale with zesty hops and a dry finish'. Yep, that sums it up just right.

From a 330ml can.
L: Clear, dark gold with a short-lived white head. Some lacing.
S: Light, floral, citrus.
T: Sweet malt with a citrusy, hoppy twist.
F: Medium body with light carbonation. Dry finish.
O: Not really an APA. Much more an English Bitter with some zip from American hops. Nicely refreshing. Not bad.

Amber and crystal-clear, no carbonation, three fingers of yellowish white head.
Smells of peaches and some stone fruit, fruity, piney, floral and yellow pears.
The taste follows the nose, with a moderate bitterness.
Light body, moderate carbonation.
Reminds me a lot of A hopped up version of London pride. Got this one from Bangkok, drinking in Chang Mai June 7th, 2017.

500ml bottle poured into a pint glass.
Clear brass gold in color with decent off-white creamy head that stands with pretty good retention, it gradually dissipates to some foamy sheet atop along with lots of sticky lacing patch and spot on the glass-side.
Citrus (zesty citrus more than bitter citrus) infused with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, orange candy, and lemon from hop. Malt with notes of bread, caramel, and mild buttery then hops reveal again with notes of floral, some pine, and some spice.
The tastes follow what are reflected in a nose. Pale malt plays as a foundation with a big note of sweet bread together with slight caramel. Hops nicely travel through the palate with big zesty citrus, a bit spicy grapefruit, lemon, and sweet orange candy while also leave moderate bitterness in the finish as well as the aftertaste.
Light to medium body with lively carbonation and some good crispness generate smooth mouthfeel through the palate, dry and clean finish.
Do not compare this with APAs from US that are more hoppy and intense. However, this beer considering the fact that it originated from UK could be justified as decent and worthy. It is also very easy drinkable and sessionable.

Look: Deep golden almost more orange than pale. Clean, clear and crisp. Loses most on head and retention. Initial thick white however rocky head decendes into flat and non-existent. Mild to average carbonation.
Smell: Not to much shouting from the aroma however hop notes are easily detectable with perhaps a slight estery fruit in the background with a touch of malt.
Taste: Could do with more punch. A initial slight sweeter hop flavour followed by more bitter notes that extend into the med-long finish with a slight astringent back drop but not too much.
Feel: Initially good with good carbonation and body however seems to die somewhat as you make your way down the glass.
Overall: Judging from previous reviews the brew seems to have improved but not by a great deal. Still lacking punch and body. Head retention needs addressing as a good looking beer can really affect how the drinker reacts to it. No one likes a beer that has the appearance of cold tea!
