look: 3.75 | smell: 3 | taste: 2.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 2.75

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance
Straw yellow with 1 finger of creamy white head. Excellent clarity with moderate carbonation.

Nose
Golden apple and pear.

Taste
Golden apple, pear, and cereal grains. Slight earthy / Aspirin bitterness.

Mouthfeel
Light bodied, crisp, and clean with a light bitterness.

Overall
I wanted to hate it so I could say it should be called HELLES NAH, but it's okay. Easy drinking and refreshing, but sub par for the style.

Poured a 12 ounce bottle into a glass. Stamped 05 July 2015.

Clear gold with a finger of stark white head and notable effervescence.
It smells cheesy and sour and garlicky and generally unpleasant.
It tastes just fine! Crisp and bright and clean, with a pleasant minerality and only faint tinge of the sourish unpleasantness from the nose. Aftertaste is a bit sweet and not the most attractive feature, but another sip quells the beast.
I wouldn't have another, but I'm sure many will find something to like in this beer.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Clear light amber, thick white head.

Smell: Light hops, maybe some light cloves and citrus.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth, light bodied. Taste of light hops, wheat and other grassy notes.

Overall: OK brew, nothing to rave about here.

A: The color is as pale and clear as expected. The head, pure white, rises to half a finger and falls to a chunky and soapy quarter finger that leaves legs and spotting behind.
S: The nature of a Helles is there, albeit muted. Dry malts balance grassy hops.
T: As in the aroma, this has the character of a Helles but is toned down. There is a (light) leafy and grassy bitterness that doesn't have the peppery aspect of Noble hops, and crackery malts fade to a spent malts flavor in the end.
M: Crisp and fairly well balanced between sweet and dry, this light-bodied beer holds a bite and stays clean most of the way.

DATE TASTED: June 11, 2015... GLASSWARE: Ommegang 150th pokal... OCCASION: Cavs looking to go up 3-1...All in... APPEARANCE: thin, mostly yellow, translucent body that is swirling with activity; surprising two-finger off-white head that settles to a reasonable strength; ... AROMA: definite fragrance of lilac, garden herbs and lemon grass hops and hay malts--a bigger welcome than I expected from this dortmunder... PALATE: rather flat, thin and throaty; the "crisp" swirl around the tongue and resonates with a malty dryness... TASTE: fruity and beefy, with some vegetable and leaf--extra sweet at the start; a mixed bag of malt and earthy hops...a moderately flavorful beer... OVERALL: a surprisingly solid offering, one that isn't the more recent fruity offerings from Leinenkugel... the hops definitely make this an Americanized version, at least in the bouquet; although the name--which I cannot believe has not been trademarked by previous brewers who used it--is a bit much, the beer is a nice nod to the style...

Appearance - Pours crystal clear and golden yellow in color with a white finger width head. Fair retention, then breaks down to a mostly scattered layer of suds across the top and a thin ring around the edge.

Smell - Mildly lemon aroma with a light cereal grain undertone.

Taste - In one word? Lacking. Hollow lemon flavor with a touch of bready grain. Hint of mint leaf? Finish is faint with mostly citrus character fading in the distance.

Mouthfeel - Light, watery body with bitey carbonation. Smooth flow with a quenching finish.

Overall - Fair Helles. Certainly nowhere near the shining examples of the style. Lacks ideal strength of flavor, but it's drinkable in the least.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Great hops smell with some malt thrown in. Appearance- A nice golden color that is clear, with a white head Taste- A light bitter flavor from the hops which goes well with the carbonation Palate- A medium body with soft carbonation that has a nice finish. Overall- This is a well made beer in my opinion. It had everything that I was looking for (at the time) a great color with no overpowering "craft beer extravaganza aroma" to dazzle my senses and a great "mouthfeel" that led me to enjoy this beer. . . repeatedly LOL

12 oz bottle. Golden yellow with big white fizzy head, some lace stayed all the way through. Smell was a bit bland, homogenized economy ingredients with a touch of metallic. Flavor was the same with metallic noticeable. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Not too sweet with noticeable bitterness. Drinkable but I wouldn't ever buy it unless it was $5/6er.
Picked this one from a cooler filled with ice at a real estate promotion.

This drinks like a cheap macro brew with a tinny malt flavor, light barley and some adjunct properties. It drinks with a harsh carbonated bite but light enough to slam.
