Before I start let me just say that this is a fine beverage; it has a nice hazy color, a decent enough smell and a pretty good taste and mouthfeel. There is only one problem; the taste is much closer to raspberry than anything pomegranate that I have ever tasted (which included beers and wine). If anything this beer is somewhat of a clone of Abita Purple Haze (which is a good beer itself). If you like raspberry you'll like this one. If you want something pomegranate look elsewhere.

A decent fruity beer. I would drink it every now and again.

From a 12 oz. bottle with a March 5, 2018 bottling date on 26 June 2018.

Clear golden body underneath a white head that holds up well.

Aroma: very fruity with pomegranate, raspberry, faint tangerine, and wheat bread,

Flavor: very fruity with a mild, bitter finish. Notes of pomegranate, orange, tangerine, and lemon with white bread.

Feel: The body is light to medium; smooth with lively, medium carbonation.

You wouldn't guess a beer packaged this way would actually pour so beautifully! Hazy white ale colored, with a thin bubbly head. Boy this beer is pungent though. You can smell the candy at arms length. As such, the scent lacks depth. It's got an odd bitter foot smell in the back there though. Who would have thought, but this beer drinks like a shandy. It's smooth, juicy, and completely easy. Decent body to it, but all around it's just drinkable and too juicelike for my taste.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky yellow with a medium sized white head. The aroma is well, pomegranate. The taste follows the nose.

Leinenkugel's Pomegranate Shandy brewed by Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, with an ABV of 4.20% This Shandy pours out a nice cloudy amber color with a nice white head. This is an unflitered brew, you can not see though this brew. Not saying that is a bad thing. There is also some nice spotty lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with sweetness, Pomegranate , citrus , grains and malts. You also pick up on some nice mild hops in the smell as well. Between the look and smell this is one inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is bitter sweet, but in a good way. The pomegranate is a nice touch to this Shandy. There is also some nice mild grains and malts notes in the taste as well. The body of Leinenkugel's Pomegranate Shandy is a light medium. This brew would go nice on a hot summer day. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. The mouth feel is Bold, Fruity, Sweet, Smooth, Clean, And Refreshing. Overall I'm going to give Leinenkugel's Pomegranate Shandy a 4.25 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, did a real nice job with this Shandy .

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pomegranate, some tartness. Taste is raspberries, pomegranate, a bit sweet, slightly tart. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing beer that I may drink again in warmer weather.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a March 19, 2018 expiration date. Sampled on January 27, 2018.

It looks like a glass of orange juice with its murky yellow color underneath a foamy white head that fades slowly. Opaque.

The aroma is a lively fruit flavored zestiness with pomegranate, orange, maybe tangerine, and lemon, Some, I mean some white bread below it and no hop profile. It has the aroma of a kids fruit drink more than anything else.

The body is light to medium and admittedly smooth.

I drank just enough of this to write a review on BA and I did not finish the whole glass. But as for the taste, it was a fruity extravaganza with a mild bitter finish. Shandies are just not my thing.

Very sweet. Is this a beer or a fruit flavored wine cooler? At least the juice flavor comes off pretty natural and doesn't stick to the tongue for long, but the sweetness is way too much.

ONE PINT can
Served in a tulip glass

This beverage pours a hazy golden hue and is topped with three inches of off white head that leaves a little lacing as it recedes. I am happy to see that is does not have an artificial color.

It has a sweet, fruity aroma.

It has a strong pomegranate flavor, but the base shandy is recognizable.

Medium mouthfeel

It is fruity and goes down easy. I can see it being refreshing on a hot summer day.

Leinenkugel Pomegranate Shandy has a medium-to-thick, creamy, off-white head, a milky yellow-gold, fruit juice appearance, and some glass lacing. Aroma is of sugary-sweet juice flavors and white bread. Taste is the same, with a bready, malt predominance and fruit flavor top. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Leinenkugel Pomegranate Shandy finishes medium dry and easy going.

More sweet than a "true" beer, but solid nonetheless...

Out of the bottle it has this hazy, looks-like-a-wheat-beer-look; not much of staying power for the head but still an overall good look. The smell was the least appealing aspect of this beer - very weird smell, almost skunky, but thankfully it did not translate to the taste. The taste of which was mostly sweet, though it did have a slight hoppy tang and was quite fruity with the pomegranate and even some citrus thrown in for good measure. Mouthfeel was truly surprising as well, highly carbonated at first, tamped down as it warmed, it was smooth the whole time through. This made a sessionable beer even more so. Overall, I consider this very good and definitely in the "dessert beer" category.

12 oz. bottle:

Pours clouded amber. The head doesn't last long. Some lacing sticks.

The smell is of pomegranate and some malt.

The taste is of sweettart pomegranate with bread.

Pretty creamy.

Not bad for a fruity shandy. Pomegranate noticeable but not overwhelming.

A neighbor gave it to me for free so the price was right for me. Wouldn't buy it personally, but if you want a pomegranate shandy it's worth the purchase. It is what it is supposed to be.
