Featuring a touch of real Wisconsin honey, Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss is a golden-hued traditional American weiss beer inspired by a classic German style. It's traditionally garnished with a lemon wedge for added citrus aroma that perfectly complements the sweet, subtle flavors of the beer.

12 oz. twist-off cap bottle > 16 oz. Stella glass

I'm a sucker for just about anything with Honey in it!! This one is a clear (yes, filtered) light golden color with a minimal and thin, white crown, rises only about 1/2" and is gone, baby gone. Not much left-over either. The carbonation starts out lively and becomes sedate pretty fast. yikes.

I'm getting, charred wheat, metallic aroma's that remind me of my Grandmother getting a home perm. That is not a pleasent scent!! Subdued and mild citrus effects simply don't pop out enough. double yikes!

The flavor is a bit better than I expected from the look and the smell, but it's got a decent, smokey wheat flavor, although the metallic, sour-yeast like flavor is present and it's totally void of any citrus flavor's or hops. The wheat malt tastes much like a regular Budweiser and the honey addition is only slightly noticable. There is no real sweet current to the flavor.

The feel starts out light and crisp, which is great but it becomes pretty flat and lifeless after only a short time.

I do regret paying the $7.99 for this sixer.

i think this one is underrated, the honey profile is pretty obvious, it seems real to me, even if it is in some way enhanced in here, i like what it does with the wheat too, this has a fuller body than a lot of mass market types, and i appreciate the flavor it brings without being overly sweet from the honey, there is still some cheapness about it for sure, a sort of house leinenkugel taste that has something to do with the ferment, but this is not a beer to be overly critical of, as it smokes a lot of the easier drinking beers in its peer group for my money. the honey is waxy and floral and enriching, and the wheat supports it well, earthy and dry by itself, a subtle yeast ester in here is a little odd, a pear thing and faintly metallic to me at temperature, this is indeed best when its frosty cold, and in my case right from the bottle. the carbonation is awesome here, fully effervescent and it keeps this from stagnating or getting too sweet. a faint citrus note on the swallow, could be a nuance of the honey, pleasant aftertaste for a flash before that metal thing comes up. not the worlds greatest honey beer or anything, but it is what it says it is, its downright poundable, and its a lot better than its ratings. id crush one of these anytime!

It looks like a typical lager without much aroma, but it feels crisp as well as refreshing, and you can really taste the sweetness that is the honey aftertaste. A more than fine beer overall!

Pours out of the can a crystal clear gold with minimal head and retention. Smells like its namesake, honey, and straw. Tastes less like honey though, and more like adjuncts. Not a bad beer by any means though.

Good tasting, easy to drink beer. Has a slight sweetness, but it’s nothing to powerful.

This has that classic "bad beer taste". Tastes like a cheap beer with a hint of honey. I don't know what it is about Leinenkugel, they seem to have decent ideas and recipes but all their beers have this thin, watery, metallic taste to them. A shame.

12 fl oz screw-top brown glass bottle from a Leinie's variety box/12 pack (2021 vintage):

4.9% ABV. "Weiss beer brewed with real Wisconsin honey." Best before NOV2221.

The honey doesn't lend much to this simple ale, but it's a well carbonated and refreshing beer with fresh flaked wheat and 2-row pale malt flavours along with mild caramelization notes.

About what I expected given the brewery, which is to say it's average. Easy drinking, though.

It's a decent easy drinking affordable beer. Nothing fancy, great for summer or any time.
