A: True to its character as a filtered wheat beer, it has a golden yellow color with descent head and good lacing.

S: Sweet grass fields in summer sunshine also sporting light yeast notes.

T: Sweet honey taste true to its style with floral hop notes in the back and slightly bittering at the end. The aftertaste is of very clean wheat and long lasting honey.

M/D: Not to light and not to heavy of a feel. The head is creamy and the brew doesn't leave your mouth super dry. A superb thirst quencher and good drinkability.

This was actually a very good beer in my opinion. The aromas of honey when you open the bottle were very noticeable. The taste of this was also very good and will continue to drink this beer when I am able to do so. This is very popular in my area as well.

This is a flavorful sluggin' beer--a "banquet" beer to use Coors' term-- a beer that you might find a fireman's ball or an old man's fridge.

Pours clear and straw-golden but with a nice head. Smells faintly like lemons and honey with just a hint of malt. Nice smell, surprisingly, but faint.

As much as it may look like a regular macro, it sure as heck doesn't much taste like one. I mean, the taste is still as woefully faint as that of a macro, but it's actually good. Yeast upfront with a hint of citrus and a little wheat bitterness. More wheat in the back and a sweet kick of dry honey. Complex and tasty, but not flavorful enough.

Thin on the body, like a macro, but it's pretty darn smooth and you can pound these all night.

A: Clear golden straw yellow color. Poured with three finger creamy white head that dissipated steadily. Decanted steadily. Irregular and inconsistent lacing.

S: Grains and a mild sugary sweetness.

T: Grains up front. Not overpoweringly sweet; turninng to an almost bitter dryness that leads to a fairly clean finish. May benefit from a little more sweetness to balance the carbonation and dryness.

M: Light body. Ample carbonation.

D: Definitely drinkable. Unlike some, the mild sweetness would make me tire of the taste (that said, I still think it could be a little sweeter).

Enjoyed in a weizen glass

A: Pours a crystal clear very very light hay color with a ton of carbonation bubbles and a ton of large bubbled soapy looking pure white head which dissipates at a moderate rate before leaving a decent amount of scattered lacing
S: so, sadly, this beer reminds me right off the bat of an adjunct american lager, light, cereal grains and not much more, there is a slight sweetness of honey which is detectable at the very end
T: begins with a nice deep sweetness which reminds me alot of honey, big surprise, also there are notable light cereal grains, not much complexity or depth
M: smooth and clean, slightly cloying at the end, does leave the mouth feeling slightly bright even cold like a mint freshness without the flavor
O: im not overly familiar with this style but i do find this example to be very bland and unfortunately reminiscent of adjunct lagers, honey was nice but not much else was worth mentioning

a tour beer for my first stop at the coventry winking lizard

it's labeled a pale wheat ale but....pretty lagery. very pale color, no head retention (on a wheat?). the lizard menu had it labeled a "fruit beer"—is that because of the honey or the wheat?

smells like a pale lager, looks like a pale lager and tastes pretty much like a pale lager. booorrrring

this beer pours a clear golden color with a tall white head that recedes to a film of lace. the aroma is malty and a bit on the lagerish side, I'm not sure if it's the honey that's responsible. the taste is sweet with quite a bit of malt. the crisp mouthfeel seems right for an american wheat. not a terrible drink, but not one that I'll look for.

Clear gold color, with the head fading away instantly. Faint wheat malt aroma, no honey I can detect in the nose. Sweet cereal flavor, like a bland slightly sweetened breakfast ceral. A touch of honey flavor. Almost tasteless. Body is thin and watery.

Uninteresting, hardly more flavorful than sweet water.

Poured into a hefeweizen glass.

A: Pale, faded yellow.

S: Wheat, malt and faint honey...

T: Mild wheat with slight honey and mild hops.

M: Thin and somewhat watery, would be thirst quenching on a summer day.

D: This is a pretty drinkable beer, but it is just too light in flavor for my taste..

Poured into a clean pint glass

A: I think this is the clearest beer I have ever seen. very little carbonation and less that finger width of head.

S: very faint hops.

T: slight bitterness with nothing else for taste.

M: very thin, smooth slight carbonation.

O: There is really nothing to this beer. Very slight hops taste and nothing, absolutely nothing else

Poured a light yellow with a very thin head
Smell was almost nonexistent
The taste was VERY mild with just a hint of sweetness, this is a thin brew that you have to TRY to taste.
All in all it was worth the money and isn't a bad beer just not memorable. I would buy it again for just drinking while I puttering around the house.

Paid $4.99 for a 6 pack

Poured a very clear pale gold with a big foamy white head. This shrunk to a thin sheet that stayed throughout the drink. Mild carbonation. Excellent webbing along glass side.

Smelled some sweet honey, floral, maybe some fresh bread.

Very crisp brew with very low bitterness. Pretty thin and watery, yet smooth. Slight metallic aftertaste. This did not taste like your typical weiss. I couldn't pick up any of the usual wheat, banana, clove, etc. This came across more like a blonde ale.

All in all, this was a refreshing brew, but was a far cry from the style it claimed to be.
