From Notes:

A: Poured a pale golden color, crystal clear, very bubbly, with a white head about half an inch thick. 3.0

S: Tangy, citrusy wheat malts, no honey really present. Some different sweet smells as well. Hard to place. 3.0

T:Kinda light on the honey initially, but the taste does linger nicely in the mouth. Very characteristic wheat malt tastes tangy and citrusy. The honey comes out a bit more as it warms. Not even a faint hint of hops. 3.0

M: Pretty thin and refreshing, crisp, kind of a sticky finish though. Not too bad in all. 3.0

D: Fairly drinkable, but it wouldn't be the first wheat I'd reach for. Not a bad beer, nothing really fantastic though. 3.0

Appearance: Has the look of a standard macro; clear yellow with just a drop of burnt orange, and a paper-white head. I expected a more honey-ish amber color.

Smell: Kinda smells like a macro, too. Very bland, but with a bit of honey that I notice more with each sniff. There's definitely a fruity/vinous character, too, like champagne or white wine. I also smell a pinch of flour, probably from the wheat.

Taste: Like honey thinly spread on toasted Italian bread... not bad! The white wine aroma is also present in the flavor, as well as a hint of dandelion. A little skunky... could be too old, I couldn't find a date anywhere on the bottle.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and clean.

Drinkability: Goes down easy, but at the high price of flavor. Not bad, but you could do a lot better with a different Leinie's.

Pours a clear white-yellow-straw gold with a large bubby head that immediately collapses into a thin cover. A weiss that's clear??? Aroma is light roasted grain and sweetness, followed by very weak hops. Flavor smooth, malty, wheaty grains, with light creamy sweetness. For a honey weiss, a surprising lack of honey in aroma or flavor.

Overall, this is a good yard beer or sitting on the porch wanting to down a few, but nothing special. My first try from this brewery.

A bottle brought back from vacation by a good friend who was home for the summer. It's a local favorite in Wisconsin. Thanks doofusboy!!

I have finally reached the end of the summer sampler pack.

Poured this one out of a 12oz can pretty quickly into a regular old pint glass.

A) The quick pour resulted in a nice inch of head, but it was gone in a hurry. The beer was a pale yellow.

S) Light grains and a bit of honey sweetness. Nothing offensive.

T) It's like a light beer with a hint of honey. I mean, you pick up a trace amount of honey, but I'm not sure about the Weiss. It doesn't taste bad.

M) A fairly light bodied beer. It's decent for warm weather, as it is pretty crisp and refreshing.

O) This is okay. If you're at a summer get together, and this one is on the top layer of ice in the cooler... Well, I say dig to the bottom and hope for the best.

Pours a nice bright, clear yellow. About a 2 cm head...sticks around a little bit with a little foamy lacing.

Smells of a little citrus, but predominantly a wheaty smell. No hint of honey.

Very light and carbonated on the first drink. No hops to be tasted, very little malt overtone, and about the same amount of wheat taste as other weizens. For the life of me I can't find the honey...maybe just a little towards the end of the drink.

Drinkability is very good. I could pound these like bud lights all night.

Overall, nothing outstanding. But on a hot summer day of mowing grass, it'd be great. Was expecting a little more honey taste, not sure how that would affect the beer overall, but an interesting thought. In the end, I would recommend this brew, for someone looking for an easy to drink weizen.

A) Golden color. Pours with a thin head then settles to creamy lacing along the outside edge. Active carbonation is visible. The body is transparent.
S) Yeasty with a mild sweet aroma, but no bold accentuated notes.
T) Wheaty with a barely noticeable honey flavor.
M) Smooth, somewhat creamy. Has a tingle on the tongue with a light body.
D) A decent wheat beer, but no unique characteristics to make it a stand out.

Pourd from a 12 ounce bottle into a weizen glass.

Appearance: Clear yellow with a small white head that disappears to nothing. It looks a lot like a macro lager.

Smell: Smells like a macro lager.

Taste: Tastes like a macro with some honey. Overall this is a very disappointing beer.
