Formerly Canoe Paddler
Leinenkugel’s® Canoe Paddle Kölsch® is a slightly spicy and smooth addition to Leinenkugel’s year round portfolio. This Kölsch-style beer is brewed with a touch of rye for a slightly spicy flavor and clean, dry finish. It’s our take on a German classic that’s perfect for winding down and relaxing.
Pair Canoe Paddle Kölsch with Weisswurst, porcini mushroom ravioli with white wine sauce, delicate white fish with capers and arugula salads.

12oz bottle pured into a pint glass.
A- Poured a bright and cheery light golden color, cystal clear. An adundance of tiny bubbles steadily rise to a 1-finger white head that fades quickly to a film. Minimal lacing. A clean and fresh look, too bad it lacks head and lace.
S-Grainy, some rye, peppery, mild pale malt. A touch of hoppiness.
T-Some sweetness from the malts up front followed by the rye pepperiness. Some lemon.
M- There's some bite from the rye and hops. It's very smooth and drinkable with a dry finish and no aftertaste. The shoftfall is that it's light and fizzy, too.
O- I like it. A little more beer head, some lacing, and a bit more body and I could rate this a bit higher. For what it lacks, it has flavor and drinkability. Not bad.

Leinenkugel's Canoe Paddle Kölsch, 5% ABV (originally Canoe Paddler). Pours slightly hazy golden with a one-finger white head that left no lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and slight spice. Taste follows, faintly sweet, slightly bitter. OK mouthfeel, a bit over-carbonated. Overall very good. I'd take this over any macro AAL.

Pours out of the bottle a crystal clear gold-orange. About a finger of head that dissipates quickly; minimal lacing. Smells a bit floral with hints of bready malts. Tastes very similar to the smell, with good carbonation that makes you want to take another sip. A really good beer that I would like to mow the lawn with.

Straw like color, good carbonation but no real foam. It is quite bubbly. Perhaps this is the recent keto diet but this feels quite sweet. Slight bitterness in the background. Body is quite light. This is very easy to drink. It is alright, nothing really wrong with this, just not that special.

Drinking this at home.
Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Looks pale yellow with a nice white foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin ring.
Smells very lightly bready, lightly floral, citrusy.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium thin for the style.
Overall an okay Kolsch well suited for a cookout.
I might order again.
Cheers!

12oz bottle. Stamped on bottle bottom is '0601A21509'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Tiny bubble, white head sticks around. Vigorous rising bubble show. Leaves some spots and trails of lacing.
Aroma of toasted malts and floral, fruity hops, with a touch of spice.
Taste has a bit of rye spice adding in with toasted malts and floral, fruity hops. Dry finish which dissipates quickly in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with a touch of creaminess. Very good carbonation.
Refreshing and well balanced beer with attractive flavor.

The Canoe Paddler in a 12oz. bottle poured into my 20oz. weizen glass. There is a two finger head of white foam that has lasted quite well. This is a clear straw color with lots of carbonation to watch. It looks like the perfect classic beer.
The aroma is malty, not much else going on here.
The flavor is bread malts, sweet, with a slightly spicy finish. There is not much for bitterness here.
The mouthfeel is medium and the beer is very refreshing on this hot muggy midwest summer day. It will be very easy to slip a few of these down.
