Serving: Bottle, from the bottle
Served: 27 July 2014

Appearance: Had this one from the bottle, primarily to collect a new bottle cap. The bottle artwork is subpar at best. The cap itself is also quite uninspiring.

Smell: Smells 'beery' which a harsher edge than one would expect from a standard macro brew. Some spicy funk happening from the koelsch yeast, probably.

Taste: Really uninspiring offering from Leinie's- the taste is 'beery' at best and marginally offensive at worst. One of the worst koelsch-style beers I've had. The beer has a weird edginess to it and an underlying crispness, but the edginess really detracts from the style.

Mouthfeel: Feels light and fleeting, with okay carbonation. I would have liked it to be a bit crisper.

Overall: Uninspiring, but not truly subpar.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- has a faint smell of wheat with maybe a floral or citrus backdrop Appearance - A nice clear golden amber color. A nice thick head is generated from the pour but it does not stay long. Taste - The beer has a nice wheat flavor that really commands your attention not an overly bitter brew but a medium grade Palate - Average carbonation with a medium body that left no real aftertaste Overall - A real good beer that has a nice dry feeling. One of my favorite brews from Leinenkugel’s.
