Poured into a 14oz pint glass. Bright gold color, with an airy head. The nose gives off scents of faint grainy malt, nothing more. The taste pretty much continues that theme: sweet, grainy malt, no hint of hops except in the faintest of senses. Yeast is lightly fruity. Bland and inoffensive is the best you can say.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Yellow with a thin white head. Mild lacing on the glass and a lot of carbonation.

Smell: Hops, Rye, some wheat and malt as well. Bit of a skunked smell for a "fresh" beer.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste of bitter hops and rye. Mild wheat.

Overall: Ok brew. Not my first choice.

Appearance - Golden amber beverage. It is tough to pour this one without creating a huge, thick foamy head that collapses quickly, but leaves a nice lacing on the glass.

Smell - Light wheaty smell with a hint of citrus.

Taste - The beer is marketed as having rye, but I do not taste any. It also does not have any citrus taste to it. However, it is a nice, light beer; a little crisp and a little bitter. No mellow beer with hints of citrus and spice. Hints of wheat stick to the back of the tongue afterwards. I do not really taste any hops.

Mouthfeel - Refreshing and mid-ranged lightness.

Overall - Its an okay fall beer but perhaps too dry for a summer beer. Probably good to pair with most burgers and pub food. A beer I would buy a 6-pack of, but not a beer that I would buy a full case of.

I had this several times but for the sake of reviewing, I borrowed a stange which is what this review is based off of.
The appearance was a fairly clear yellow color with streams of carbonation seen rising rapidly. One finger white foamy and bubbly head dissipated within about a half minute. Light lacing stuck slightly and then fell.
The smell had some sweet grainy cereal and corn with a slight grassiness as well.
The taste was mainly the same sweet corn with grassiness. There's not as much cereal in the flavor.
The mouthfeel had a decent harshness but managed to control itself decently. I'd say this one was pretty light and sessionable.
Overall, good for what it is but I think I'm still trying to get my bearings on this kolsch sort of thing.

Pours a very clear straw yellow, with a good amount of visible carbonation, a small half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells a bit corny, with some grassy hops, and grainy malts.

The taste is similar. Not horrible, but not really typically Kolsch-like, more like a weak American blonde or a middle of the road adjunct lager. It says it's made with rye, I don't taste that at all. Just some sweet grainy and corny malt flavors, with only the slightest touch of hop flavors.

Light bodied, crisp mouthfeel, drinkable, but gets a bit worse when its cold.

Would be decent if it was an American Adjunct Lager, as a Kolsch, it's pretty bad.
