Until tonight I had never heard of a wheat wine style but this beer is proof that it exists. As described to me this is an imperial hefeweizen and it had a lot of alcohol kick to it. My only question is what type of an imperial is a barleywine then?
I'm sure I'll find the answer on this site. Overall a decent beer but probably not for everyone.

Served on-tap at the Allison Park location in a large, thick glass goblet.
Appearance: Cloudy golden color with tiny head. Lots of champagne-like bubbles.
Smell: A bit sweet, mostly caramel. Citrus notes in the background.
Taste: Strong caramel & yeasty spice, but also a heavy alcohol flavor. Hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with the spiciness toying around in the mouth.
Drinkability: Unfortunately, the heavy alcoholic nature of this beer hurts the drinkability.
NOTES: I also think Marzoni's serves this beer way too cold. The fact that they served it in an almost glass-block this goblet made it impossible to wait for it to warmup.

10oz goblet @ brewery: This one pours a cloudy, golden color. There was almost no head on it at all. The aroma is surprisingly light, given the ABV. Some notes of banana and clove. The taste is good. Slightly sweet, with some banana and clove. It tastes like an imperial hefeweizen, if you can believe that. Good enough that I had a couple of them.
