Our Hefeweizen is a golden, unfiltered wheat beer. The wheat malt used in this beer lends a citrus-like flavor that is often accentuated with a slice of lemon. Hop bitterness is low and the yeast left in suspension in the beer adds a bread-like quality to the beer.

A: Pours from bottle a light straw color with plenty of carbonation and a small white head. Carbonation lasted in the glass until the last drink was taken. Slight lacing observed down the glass.
S: Smell is yeasty, good spiciness observed as well.
T: I love the taste of this beer, you can definatly taste the wheat. Its also alot fruitier than most Hefe's. Tastes of banana with some other kind of fruit, maybe pear or apple or something.
M: Just about perfect, I expected it to be a little on the crisp side with all the carbonation but very well balanced.
D: This is an outstanding Hefeweizen, glad to see that you can get a real good Hefe in this area still. It seems that all you see here are Widmer and Pyramid Hefeweizens. Nothing against those 2 beers, but this in my opinion blows the doors off both of them. This is a beer that you really don't have to use a lemon with to make it flavorfull, has plenty of its own.

Pours a yellowish-gold color with plenty of bright white frothy head, dissipates slowly. Smells kind of lemony and straw like a pilsner though. Looks to have plenty of carbonation and the bottle conditioned left over yeast stays suspended, looks thick. Initial taste is smooth and crisp with a pilsner finish, kinda odd for a Hefe. Has a maco brew aftertaste like coors. Overall a descend beer but would not seek out

From notes taken 03/14/16:
Golden yellow with slight orange tint, semi-cloudy, but with swirled haze from sediment in last bit of pour, becomes consistently cloudy and opaque. Off-white film-forming, fine, fluffy, foamy head of superior retention. Smells of light banana, yeast-funk, bread, orange-like hops. Incredible orange taste, likely masking any clove notes. Almost no banana, but kind of a banana-cream quality to it nonetheless, plenty of clove, a dash of pepper, and rindy to floral hops in the back. Yeast/wheat/bread character throughout, although really a minor player here. Lingering, light, but almost unpleasant, bitter, orange-seed aftertaste. Medium-bodied, velvety, fine, soft, and dense carbonation, shy prickles.

Pours a cloudy, gold color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, wheat, hops, yeast, hint of herbs, and a hint of citrus (lemon). Fits the style of a Hefeweizen. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of yeast, sweet malt, slight wheat, slight citrus hops, and slight zest. Great appearance, good aroma, decent body, and good blend.

It pours a clear light gold with a small and quickly shrinking head of foam. Lacing is spotty.
Lots of lemon citrus in the nose, that and some bread.
Very lemon citrus forward in the taste with a mild back up quality of bread. 2 dimensional and not the 2 that I expected for the style at all.
Light bodied, medium carbonation.
I'm glad I picked a bottle for a build your own 6 pack and not a dedicated one. This is not something I would want to revisit.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very lightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather rapidly leaving only a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is big of a bready and wheaty smell with lots of yeast. The yeast brings with it some banana and bubblegum as well as a hint of a more citrus smell. A little bit of a grass and hay are there as well, creating a very nice balanced weizen aroma overall.
Taste – The taste starts with a sweeter flavor of bubblegum, banana, and candied sugar mixed with other flavors of citrus and a rather strong wheat bread taste. Most of these flavors create a base flavor for the brew with only the candied sugars fading as the taste advances. With the loss of the candied flavors comes an increase in a yeasty flavor, which actually grows rather strong, and slightly spiced flavor of coriander and clove. With a hint of a hay and grass coming to the tongue at the end, one is left with a rather sweeter and yeasty-wheaty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner to average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the mix of sweet, yeast, and wheat the averageness of both the carbonation and body are rather appropriate and make for a refreshing an easy drinking brew that still has enough body to support the rich flavor profile.
Overall – A rather enjoyable, slightly yeastier, and sweeter, Weizen overall. One to at least give a go to if you have the chance.

The body appears golden, has some moderately lively carbonation yet the head is very thin; yeast sediment primarily remained inside the bottle. The aroma is very grassy; old, old lemon. The flavor is very bitter and metallic. Medium body; tart and dry.
There is no apparent aroma or flavor associated with classic German hefeweizens (e.g., cloves and banana) nor the cereal and grain-like flavors of American wheat beers (although there is a minor hint of phenols). Not quite a drain poor but still a forgettable disaster.
