This is the store I think that people should focus on. The hamburg store runs out of the good stuff while this store has it, but the rare releases are always around. For this region there's a huge elections of beers. Imports, crafts etc. Exceptional store.

The people working there will try to help at times. Often I don't hear a peep other times 3-4 people ask me if I need help. It's random, but they seems to try. Clearly the time of day and what the staff is doing matters.

When I have a question they are always quick to get an answer and for the most part responsive. That said wine and spirits take up a bit more of their time than we beer folks would like.

Service staff are always very friendly & usually helpful.
On a couple of occasions MANAGERS have told me they
didn't carry a beer only to find it on the shelf mere minutes later myself.
Selection is pretty good.
The growler bar is biggest of the Liquor Barns in town & rotates brews regularly.

OK big box store. Much more focused on party supplies wine and spirits than beer. A handful of bombers and a decent selection of craft 6/4 packs, but not a great range.

Big selection, reasonable prices. Scotch selection is a little bit lacking but it's made up for in the bourbon and craft beer choices. Also has a very interesting food selection though I've never bought any from there. It's the go-to place in Lexington for booze.

A great selection of craft beers domestic and imports. They have a small homebrew section that sells a decent amount of stuff but I still order most of my stuff online. The one thing I would watch out for is old beer that isn't supposed to be aged sitting on the shelf for years. I bought a four pack of Sam Smith Nut Brown that had definitely gone bad. However I found some 18% beers from '07 which was exciting! Be weary of old beers that aren't good old but other than that the place is great for picking up stuff you haven't tried.

This was the first liquor store I stopped at in kentucky and I was really impressed with the amount of craft brew they had available. Their policy of breaking up any 6 pack into individual bottles for exactly a sixth of the price is absolutely unheard of where im from and something that is an extreme plus. I wasn't approached by any employees but then again, I didn't really need any help so it's hard to rate the service based on my visit. Absolutely huge store packed full of (almost) any liquor, beer and wine you could want. A must stop in lexington if you're looking to pick up some bottles.

Wow! My brothers took me here while visiting them in Lexington. Huge place with lots of beer, wine, and liquor, plus a selection of party items, etc. Clearly one-step shopping if you're planning a party. Massive selection of beer - one of the biggest I've seen. Many coolers and shelves of six- and four-packs. I saw Founder's (including a huge stack of Kentucky Breakfast Stout!), Bell's, New Holland, Three Floyds, Great Divide, Dogfish Head, all sorts of stuff. I barely had a chance to glance over the selection and felt like I only scratched the surface.

As a Lexington resident, this Liquor Barn is my primary purchasing venue. I tend to make two to four trips a month to stock up on all of my malt based needs.

Although my tastes and beer history are not as extensive as many, I do feel that the beer selection available at Liquor Barn is above average. They have a significant selection from macros, to craft and imports. I managed to grab a couple four packs of Founders KBS just the other day. Beyond beer, the wine and spirits selection is amazing. They offer selections form the least expensive brands to those that I will likely never be able to attain! (RE: Remy Martin Louis XIII)

Service has always been sufficient. The staff tends to be knowledgeable about most of their offerings and they are always willing to help whenever you have a question.

My only complaints are around beer storage. Sale beer is often stored at the front of the store and even though they generally have shades over the windows, the temperature may fluctuate a little more than preferred and the light definitely isn't ideal. They do have a large refrigerated section where you can find many of their offerings.

For the homebrewer in you, there is a fine selection of malts, yeasts and brewing tools available.

I feel very fortunate that I have such a phenomenal resource so close to where I live.
