Against the Grain 5 Roses (Schwartz Ed.) has a thin, cream-colored head, a black (medium brown, under direct light), and little-to-no lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is muted, but some mild fruit, and sour candy can be detected. Taste is of slightly charred malt, a bit of sourness, and low-level bitterness. Mouthfeel is watery, and Against the Grain 5 Roses (Schwartz Ed.) finishes crisp, easy drinking, and somewhat dull.

This is the first beer I've had that was a dark purple. A really beautiful color but unfortunately it did not translate into a good flavor. Definitely funky, mildly sour, a little winey but not tasty. Had high hopes, but this is one of the worst beers I've had in some time.

Wild Schwartz Kölsch aged on cedar....Whatever...

Very dark brown in color. Somewhat translucent. Forms a fizzy off-white head that fizzes away fairly quickly. No lacing. Aroma is a blend of tart citrus notes and roasted malts and coffee. Taste is light. Lightly tart with lemon/lime notes along with some light roasted malts. Light body. Light carbonation. Slightly tart.
Not bad.
