Brewed exclusively with Citra hops, this IPA has a tropical, citrusy, even grapefruit aroma and taste. Deadly smooth. Perfectly balanced between bitterness and sweetness; even those not fond of hops have come to love this one. One sip and you'll want to Citra Ass Down for another! Draft. Pours a pale yellow with a finger or two of fluffy white head. Cloudy. Smells of citrus hops and grapefruit . Tastes like a traditional ipa. Little bitter but not bite your face off pine tree bitter. Just right. Could drink a lot of this on a hot summer day. Definitely taste slightly sour fruit that's competing with the citrus hops. Guessing grapefruit. Finishes clean. Solid effort. Highly recommend.

I cant say anything bad about EBB. All of there beers are good. Citra ass down is my first choice besides kong krush.

So smooth and obviously the citra hops just do a wonderful job.
Extra Billy's Keep the work going!
Wish we could get this in bottles for trades!

Appearance: Arrives with a clear copper color capped by an inch of foam that leave sheets of lacing

Smell: Floral, with tropical fruit and citrus tones

Taste: A touch of the biscuit, up front, with building tropical fruit (pineapple, primarily) and tangerine tones; a bit of residual sweetness in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; somewhat crisp

Overall: I was interested in giving this out of the way IPA a try to see whether it was the real deal - it is

pours a solid golden copper with a half inch head, amazing lacing. the smell is extremely fruity and hoppy. very balanced. the taste is so balanced between hops and malts, its a sculpin clone EXACTLY. if you were to give this to me blind and say it was a sculpin I'd believe you. perfect body.

My go-to beer when I come to Extra Billy's. Solid appearance as a golden yellow and orange clear pint with fantastic lacing of slightly off-white foam. Nose is big piney which preps the tongue for more of the same with a nice resiny pine taste that leaves just a hint of sweetness on the back off the tongue. Not overly dry but not so animated as to be over- carbonated or cloying on the finish. Probably "just right". Great beer and should be a Midlothian landmark.

32oz draft at the brewpub.

A - Is what it is. Good head, hazy copper color.

S - Smelled it as soon as she set it down on the bar, awesome nose. Tropical fruits.

T - Amazing tropical fruit tastes, like I've never had in an IPA before. Truly awesome.

M - Great carbonation. No sugary or thick aftertaste.

O - Awesome beer. Hopefully the new brew master will continue with brews of this great quality.

Had at mekong in Richmond. Citra IPA. Appearance-wise the beer could look better. Color is a cloudy liggt amber. Smell is delicious and very tropical with pineapple and mango. Beer has nice hop bitterness but tropical notes also shine through. A nice balanced IPA with good flavor but not overly bitter.
